Beautiful historic hotel with top notch amenities. very convenient, walking distance to downtown Killarney. bus and train system literally right next door. Warm inviting fire and fireplace right when you walk in helps create a warm and relaxing environment. Cocktail bar is very nice. Historical but modernized.

We had a wonderful stay at the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our visit. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the entire property was beautiful and well maintained. The location is excellent as well—just a short and easy walk into town, which made it very convenient for exploring Killarney. Overall, a fantastic hotel with great service, beautiful surroundings, and a perfect location. We would definitely stay here again!

Charming and historic hotel in downtown Killarney. It felt like we were staying on castle grounds despite being right downtown with gardens and quiet escapes. The restaurant and bar are both magnificent and quaint with excellent food and drink. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side but with everything you need. Notably without air conditioning for the warmer months. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We greatly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

We had a great stay at the Great Southern Killarney. Our family stayed in one of the separate Railway Houses, and it worked out perfectly for us. We really appreciated having the extra space while still being able to enjoy the hotel and its location. The location is excellent for exploring Killarney, with the town center easily accessible without needing to get back in the car. The Railway House gave us a nice combination of privacy, space, and the convenience of staying at a full-service hotel. Overall, it was a very comfortable and memorable stop on our Ireland trip, and the Railway House is an option I would definitely recommend for families.

This is a great hotel with easy waking access to Killarney. The Ring of Kerry is very accessible. The staff is wonderful, the grounds are immaculate and the bar and food are very good. I highly recommend it.

This hotel was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Beautifully appointed and well equipped with all amenities. This hotel continued to impress me. The gardens outside are stunning. My family and I commented repeatedly on how impressed we are were with the location, the staff and the hotel itself self. This place is worth the stay you will not regret it.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Walking distance to great dinner spots, coffee shops and the castle & park. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The main restaurant was fabulous and so was the bar. I would 100% go back to this hotel. Our room was beautiful and clean and the bathroom was huge. The shower was great as well, good pressure and nice rain head, and full enclosed glass shower which is hard to find in hotels these days! Parking was really convenient as well. 10/10.

The grounds, the hotel rooms, everything was in excellent condition. We had a wonderful staff person Salvio who greeted us with a heartfelt smile, helped us in anyway he could. We would recommend this to anyone especially if you are traveling by train It is right next door but there’s no noise from the station. This hotel is historic and very ell built

Beautiful hotel with past century charm, but modern in every way. This was an old Railroad era grand hotel. Rooms are huge with nice furniture. The staff could not have been better. Breakfast was excellent. Location is easy walking distance to pubs, stores, restaurants in downtown area. About 5 minutes drive to Killarney National Park. After having stayed 2 nights at Ashford Castle, I didn't think any other hotel could measure up. This one did.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this hotel was absolutely spectacular. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my stay.
