I could not speak more highly of how incredibly friendly all the staff were during our stay. The attention to detail was something I had never really experienced before. "The Metropole is a historic hotel. The downstairs/lobby/restaurant areas were beautiful. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Within walking distance of everything in Cork. We also visited Kinsale from there which was great, but wished we had stayed there for a quieter experience. Good restaurants and a great wine bar close by. "

"Very nice hotel. Room was a bit dated, and pillows were pretty terrible, but a call to reception resolved pillow issue. Hotel is centrally located and there were many yummy dining options a short walk away."

"Lovely room. There is a sitting room attached that has lots of light in the morning and there are no curtains to cover the doors so our room was light at 5:30am. Also, it would be nice if they had a luggage stand so I don’t have to put my luggage on the floor. Nice bathroom, lovely breakfast included. Lots of choices on restaurants to eat within a very short distance. 8-10 min drive to all the downtown night life and shopping. Free parking was very nice in an area it’s hard to find."
