"Excellent trip from start to finish. We arrived early, but the rooms were already ready. And we got a fantastic upgrade! The concierge helped us plan out our sightseeing for the following day, as well as made a great dinner recommendation and reservation. Drinks and food at Peacock Alley and the Caley bar were excellent. The service was wonderful - I wish I could remember all the staffs’ name who assisted us. Thanks for an excellent stay! "

"TV didn’t work in the room for the first two nights. Staff initially offered to move us to a new room but then retracted the offer and instead offered a key to a room with a tv until they could fix it the next day. Not a great solution."

"I can't say enough good things about The George. After falling in love with Edinburgh last year, we returned to the city and the hotel who made our stay extra special. The staff it wonderful and truly make you feel like you're home - whether they wish you a good day or welcome you back after a long day of walking up and down hills. We were greeted with smiles at every turn. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had a lovely room that looked up to the castle. Great showers, great room...

"This was exactly what one would expect in a five star hotel....the rooms are handsomely appointed and supremely comfortable. The staff was amazing....helpful, informative and kind. We loved our stay, the town is walkable from the hotel and our room looked right out at the Old Course....and the North Sea beyond....simply magical."

"It was closed your Pic was from a year ago it is covered in scaffolding and not open for 6 months I paid in advance and had to pay again at a sister Hotel (Raddisson) who demanded £2900. when I had pd over £3400 to Expedia. "The staff were lovely but I would say the rooms could do with some TLC. The walls were chipped and scraped and the seal along the shower screen was dirty and old and there was a stain on the carpet and a musty smell in the room. I wouldn’t say the rooms are 5 stars but the bed was great."
