"We had an enjoyable stay at this lovely property. Our hosts were both very welcoming and we felt that we could call on them if necessary. The Lodge is beautifully decorated and has been furnished and equipped for a very comfortable holiday. The property is situated a few miles outside Malmesbury which we found ideal for visiting many different NT sites as well as towns such as Cirencester and Tetbury."

The location is tucked away in a little peaceful village, next to a beautiful church and a small primary school. "Felt like home immediately. Very cosy. The books everywhere, Shakespeare's buste...funny typical English weird dog lamp. Bathroom to die for. Bedrooms gorgeous. Did not see the ferret. And Fairford itself is a gem. Having read many books about the English Tudor times this was perfect as a place to stay and visit Highclere castle, Jeremy's farm and other lovely things and places in the beautiful surrounding countryside."

"Overall it was a very nice stay, the room (Sienna) was luxurious with excellent kitchen facilities a really comfy, big bed and a nice looking terrace (although the rain put paid to using it). It is situated perfectly with great independent eateries and bars within a short walk. Parking is a little difficult and if there were some way of communicating exactly when a space would be free that would be more convenient. The lack of a working freezer compartment was the only other downside although...

"Bedrooms lovely but tight around beds. but en-suites quite roomy. So easy for different groups to do different things in the huge barn dinning/kitchen/lounge. Our 4 and 6 aged grand sons loved the space and outdoors games. Trampoline, football, table tennis etc. Google the grinding barn for easy location guidance as 3 of our 4 cars struggled with the given directions."
