"This was a nice hotel. the restaurant food and service was excellent, but a little pricey. It is not on the main Island of Venice, but rather on Murano which makes transportation inconvenient. Upon arrival in the area, there are very few signs as to where to park or how to get to Murano. The water transportation is confusing without specific instructions which the hotel didn't provide. "The hotel is an easy walk from the rail station and near vaporetto stops. The staff was terrific, very friendly. We expected to skip breakfast in favor of photographing in early morning light, but it rained both days we were there. There was a wide variety of food, everything from pastries to scrambled eggs, meat and cheese, even a make your own pancake machine. We got a no view room since we intended to be out all day. It was clean and comfortable. The only criticism I have is the bathroom floor was a little higher than the bedroom and a tripping hazard. Although it's supposed to be the rougher part of town, we felt perfectly safe walking around. Lots of touristy souvenir shops and restaurants, also found a couple nice grocery stores. "
