"I have stayed at the Esplanade several times over the years. It changes little but always seems fresh. I noticed they have dropped the door keys with the large tassels for tap keys. Shame but it will not stop me stayong again! This is a top European elegance hotel. Rooms are large. I was recognised and upgraded. It has a lovely terrace and memorablr breakfast. I look forward to my next stay. "

"The hotel was clean but had the smell of cigarettes in the hallway. We were on the “first floor” which meant we had to walk up to two flights of stairs with suitcases, and no elevators. However, the room we stayed in was nice and clean. But for the price, would rather stay elsewhere next time. "

"Fantastic location for the tourist, right on the main square. Room was excellent, although the decor could do with an update. Our floor had a nice atrium area. Breakfast was very good and plentiful options. Although this is a big hotel it never felt too busy."

"It was great to have such a nice place to stay with such a good view! Truly unexpected. Small things to help for next guests would be an ashtray for outside and paper towels and frying pan in the kitchen. The check in /out process was great. Maybe adjusting the listing on Expedia too so guests don’t think it’s another location becuase that was a little confusing. Otherwise we had a nice stay and great time in Zagreb! Thank you for everything!"

"The positive is the location is hard to beat and the directions sent were a big help. The negative would be that it would be nice of there was a coffee or bottle of water to help start you off available and the shower spray head bracket was broken on the shower wall. Overall a decent place in a prime location. "

"Close to Zagreb station. Facilities. Good staff. The only thing we didn’t like was that the pillows were new and too deep, but that should not be a permanent problem. Everything else was perfect."
