Ground Floor:
Bedroom: With zip and link super kingsize bed (can be twin beds on request).
Bathroom: With bath, shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail.
First Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: With wood burner, 42" Freeview TV and double sofa bed.
Dining area.
Kitchen area: With electric cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.. Electric panel heaters, electricity, bed linen and towels. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Welcome pack. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with other property). . Small enclosed sitting-out area with garden furniture. 300 acres of natural, unspoilt grounds (shared with other properties). Sea and brown trout fishing on-site (no licence required). Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring and there is direct access from the grounds to the harbour, 50 yards.. Perched on the hillside within a 300-acre Scottish Highland estate is The Cottage. This traditional detached stone cottage enjoys panoramic views across to the picturesque harbour and hills beyond. It has been thoughtfully arranged so that the main living area is on the first floor, making the most of the views. It runs the whole length of the cottage and has a warm and welcoming wood burner and deep leather sofas providing a very good level of comfort. The large sofa bed converts to a double bed. On the ground floor is a beautifully presented double bedroom with super kingsize bed which can be converted to twin beds if required.
The estate is accessed via a short lane off the spectacular route known as the ’North Coast 500’ in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The jetty and natural harbour provide a beautiful and picturesque setting to this attractive and historic estate. The surrounding area is a haven for wildlife. Deer, otters, eagles and a wide variety of bird life are regularly seen in the region, and seals are known to frequent the harbour. For outdoor enthusiasts the local area is second to none. Kayaking, sailing, fishing, hill-walking, scuba-diving, bird watching and golf are all available right on the doorstep. The nearest beach, just a short stroll from the house is outstanding; a perfect crescent of white sand bounded by rocks and hills. Beach 200 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles. The Cottage can be booked together with The Fish House (UKC1398) and The Byre (UKC1399) to accommodate up to 16 guests.

Such a stunning location to stay. Amazing scenery all around. The Cottage was lovely, clean and considering the current situation, well stocked. Would definitely recommend.

Zuerst waren wir etwas von der abseitige Lage des Hauses und der Siedlung in Rispond. Nach Betreten der Ferienwohnung waren wir aber sehr angenehm überrascht. Leider kamen wir fast nie ins Netz, um Kontakt mit zu Hause in Deutschland aufzunehmen. Der Gastgeber, der uns persönlich begrüßte war sehr freundlich und erklärte uns alles. Wer Natur und Ruhe schätzt, der ist hier richtig. Zudem ist man in wenigen Minuten in Durness.
