"The property was very conveniently located. The staff were fantastic and helpful. We could easily walk to mont st michel, and the free bus to the abby left from in front of the hotel. My only complaint was that there was no outlet near the bed, i have a cpap and had to sleep in the twin bed next to the desk that had the only outlet in the room while my husband and child slept in the double. There were also guest laughing loudly for more than 10 mins in the hallway past 11pm. The kept my child...

"A no frills hotel, clean but basic. No direct view of Mont St Michel but walk along road abit and can view MSM. Fruit in breakfast basket old eg over ripe bananas…maybe improve presentation of fruit, wash the apples and grapes and shine them up for better presentation. Liked that Coffee/tea available in lobby in evening. Very pleasant staff. "

"We loved the Balzac Hotel! The location is in the center of the Old Town, the staff were extremely helpful, the breakfast was lovely, and the room was clean and comfortable."

"Not a bad hotel. Came after hour and had trouble checking in with the machine. Kept asking for reference number but when I used the one i booked with, it didnt work. Found out it was the number the hotel emailed to me. Room was great for the price."

"This was our most enjoyable stay in Normandy. The hotel also has a very fine restaurant and Patrick, the chef, not only provided a superb meal but briefly came to speak with my wife (who is a celiac) to assure that he could offer a meal that met both her dietary needs but was up to his very professional standards. "IT MIGHT HELP TO TELL,GUESTS THAT THE STAIRWELL LIGHTS ARE REGULARLY OFF AND THAT ARE ARE LIGHT SwITCHES ,IN THE STAIRWELL, TO TURN THEM ON.Being able to pay on arrival is helpful.The hotel is a bit:snug,i.e.: a charming old house,however:snug."
