"When we have arrived, the hotel was “closed” with no reception. Sign at the door asked us to check in in the nearby Shell petrol station. The station staff was helpful but with poor english therefore apart from obtaining the keys, we were really not given any other info (eg, to use side doors to get in to the hotel building - we had to figure this out thanks to another sign) so the initial experience was… unusual. "Hotel was perfect for a short stay for one in Hanau. Walkably close to the train station and city center. The only thing I didn’t like was that the room did not have A/C and the days were 90 degrees. I could have managed without A/C, as I am normally not an A/C person, but the windows did not have screens so I couldn’t leave them open overnight. IMHO if you dont have A/C, af least have screens."
