2 Star Hotels in Gwangju, South Korea

"Easy transaction, check in went through a machine helped by an employee who spoke only a little English but no issues. Room was not huge but not cramped either, bed was very comfortable, bathroom and shower were good and clean. We couldn't leave the window open over night for street noises, but there was air con. Parking was in front of the hotel, but just a few spaces, not sure what where we would have parked if they had all been taken. We literally saw no one else other than that one employee...

It looks a recently opened property so clean and comfortable at mattress. I felt good enough for a room but don't expect as a usual hotel. There's no restaurants, lounges, concierge and any kinds of services. Even if it's not like a hotel, only for a one-day room. I will stay again."

"This property was in a beautiful location however the suites were not clean or comfortable. The bed sheets were old, stained and torn and the beds are very hard and uncomfortable. The pool, tub and bath area smelled like sour drainage so a bath was not an option yet something I looked forward to and paid extra for. I found a poisonous centipede in my suitcase and my friend had a rat in the ceiling of their suite. In addition there are very few restaurants or cafes that are available or open...

"It is located nearby historical sites and downtown. It is neat and quiet. What I suggest is perfume spread over the whole area. It smells like cheap and strong. I couldn't sleep without opening windows at the first night. I suspected that the hoteI wanted to hide other smells with this perfume but I realized I was wrong because I asked not to use the perfume and did not smell a strange smells..actually much better than using the perfume."

"We stayed for 3 nights over the holidays including Christmas. It’s a hostel so the amenities are spare but the place is clean and comfortable. Mattresses are very firm but it wasn’t a problem for us. Because we stayed for more than 2 nights we received fresh towels and water bottles every day. Double check online maps. Some show this as being close to main train station. It is not. Actually across the river near bus terminal. "
