"Hotel is okay from a room/cleaniness. Check-in was a problem with both hotels.com and the actual check-in. Hotels.com doesn't handle international travel well as they didn't put in that the room we chose was double occupancy. It's not in our receipt which is telling me that it probably got lost in the email to the hotel. It's in the app but apparently that wasn't relayed to the hotel. When we checked in, the reception said it was for single occupancy although we paid the double rate already...

"Perfect Japanese style room. Definitely recommend for holiday at nearby resorts. But not for anything romantic as it’s a family oriented place. note bathroom and showers are shared and from 5-9pm only. Good for a group or a couple on a quick holiday."

"Everything about the accommodation was excellent, especially the staff! Despite the communication struggles, they were very helpful and provided great service during my stay. The free shuttle service to the ski resort was also extremely useful as they would drive you to your desired resort and pick you up at your specified time. "The staff didn't give accurate information - all the staff were Chinese so both English and Japanese language was not clear. There are 2 separate buildings. It's a very steep hill to the hotel, so it was very tiring to walk carrying luggage. The bath was not available at the time that we stayed. The toilets are small. But the room was clean, comfortable, and warm. The showers were also hot, but the water pressure was a bit weak. There are better places to stay in this area."

"It was great experience staying at this place. Right after we went to gala Yuzawa ski came back to the hotel and dipped ourselves into the large Ofuro in the basement. Smoking was not allowed inside or well outside the house so it was the only problem me and my friends faced during the stay but all in all we enjoyed our stay at the place. Place is warm and cozy. Recommend for friends and family or in groups over 5 people. "
