"The ambiance of the property was fabulous. It is an old building and was charming. The main bed was comfortable BUT the futon's were actually chairs that folded out and they were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. There was no staff available. It was all contactless. The bar was the same no people. If you didn't have cell phone to use the QR code you could not get a drink. The breakfast if you didn't pay for it in advance was not available as expected. I found the place charming but unwelcoming. However...

"Loved the Inn!! The room smelled wonderful!! Which was a significant improvement from other properties! The twin beds were very comfortable. The room was clean and well decorated. The staff was kind, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb. Also enjoyed a delicious dinner - make sure to book reservations for dinner in advance. Enjoyed hikes to the beach and to the nearby waterfall all easily accessed from the property. Will definitely visit again!!"

"This is an old Victorian hotel with character. It suited us because it's not modern and sterile like so many other hotels today. The room was comfortable and staff were friendly. We did not eat at the hotel so we can't comment on the food. The town is lovely to walk around with a couple of cafes and a small Morrison's grocery shop."

"Love our three day stay here. We stayed in the tower room on the second floor and it was amazing from the space to the views! In room coffee and tea and nice shampoo and soap an hairdryer to use and nice big fluffy towels! The staff could not be more pleasant and accommodating. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars for upkeep is because the carpet in the hallways was worn and the windows could use a cleaning but everything else was kept clean and neat. But we stayed there for the character more than anything and it certainly felt like a castle. The food was also amazing and the scottish fair we were hoping for. Parking was right in front and free. Close to walk to shops, food, cream and coffee. The hotel also has a very comfortable bar area and well stocked. The front seat is very helpful with making any arrangements for golf."

"Lovely place to stay. Our hosts were warm and charming. Enjoyed sitting on the back patio nd enjoying the view. Appreciated the small items, beverages and snacks for purchase. We did purchase a bottle of wine and enjoyed it on the back patio."

"This hotel was fine for our two-night stay, but it's definitely dated. You can tell the place hasn't been updated in quite a while, and it shows throughout the room. The bathroom had some mold, which was disappointing to see. The photos online make it look nicer than it really is, so go in with lowered expectations. For a quick stay it was manageable, but for the price we paid, it just wasn't worth it. With some updates, this place could be a much better value. As it stands, I'd look at other options before booking here again."
