"The rooms were comfortable though over-heated for early November. The hot spring pools were amazing; the water composition was great and there were numerous pools of varying temperatures warm enough for the cooler months of the year. Food at the restaurant was great and varied. We also enjoyed the massages at the spa.The receptionist was unable to find our Hotels.com reservation when we checked in, which proved a bit alarming. We trusted they eventually sorted out the issue during our stay."

"The apartment was very clean and well appointed. The team were extremely polite courteous and helpful. The restaurant is charming. This was an ideal base for Snowboarding away from the noise of Borovets. The reception team can organise shuttles to and from Borovets at a very very reasonable rate but these must be booked beforehand and end at @17.00 hrs. Would definitely recommend this as a base !"

"There’s nothing Grand about it in the slightest. It isn't the cheapest hotel around yet you still have to pay 10bng to use the sauna each time. I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Bulgaria and this is the first I’ve heard of this. No kettle or hairdryer in the room, just a TV and drinking glasses. Extremely dated, the bed is not comfortable and you can feel the springs. The drains/water really smell disgusting and the shower curtain stank of cigarette smoke. The room was not at all soundproofed...

"Apartment was more central than description and was only about 5 minutes walk to the gondola (all uphill). I would use ski depot lockers unless very fit. Ok facilities ,quiet location ,apartment was spotless and cleaned daily. Quite a modern design for Bulgarian Apartments (have stayed in a lot). Pack your own tin ,bottle openers and corkscrew .limited pans if cooking and no condiments. However ,had toaster ,kettle ,microwave and hob. Room also had good storage with iron and ironing...

"overall it was a good stay. Hotel is a bit aged, but fully functional and absolutely fine. We had two rooms for a week in early February and will probably come back again. "Overall the hotel wasn’t a bad choice considering how cheap it was per night. It is a 10 minute walk from the centre of town which was great, we booked a locker at the ski hire so didn’t to carry anything back and forth. In the hotel the beds were very comfortable however the building and interiors has not been updated since it was built.
