"This property was amazing. We looked at many properties and so happy we stayed at this one. We didn’t even have to leave the property to see sloths, monkeys, and more. Jonar who worked the back parking lot and beach access path was the best. He was quick to find us as we passed by to show us a sloth laying in a tree in the parking lot. Everyone was great. We will be returning soon. This resort gives you the true definition of Costa Rica. "

"We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. We weren't able to park our car in the lot as it was full but after contacting the host we were told it was fine to park on the other side of the lodge. Communication was fantastic with the staff and I really wish we had been able to enjoy the property during the day as it was beautiful and the pool was very inviting."
