"Lovely property that felt very safe and tucked away. We were worried about the heat and no AC when we arrived- but found that the fans upstairs and keeping the shutters open until we went to bed cooled everything down so nicely. The beaches across the street were really fun- but definitely bigger waves to play in, vs a calm water beach (which there is down the road a bit more). We had a blast riding our bikes around town and to different beaches to try out. It was the only way to get around with traffic as crazy as it was during Holy Week, while we were there. The hosts, Shelly and Carlos, live next door and were awesome! So helpful with tips of where to go and what to try, Carlos always saying yellow and being so welcoming whenever we ran into him out and about, and just overall seemed like such good and warm people. "

"Although it's listed as being in Cahuita, the location is considered Puerto Viejo and is centrally located to numerous restaurants and shops. Nature sanctuaries are accessible by car or a tuk-tuk. The hotel itself is open, airy, with a beautiful pool that's more of a water feature due to its irregular shape and shallow depth. The 2 bed/2 bath apartment with a kitchen was great, but the view was just okay. To access the apartment, you have to go climb two external flights of stone stairs that can be tricky especially when it's raining and/or you have mobility issues. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind. I really enjoyed my stay and can't wait to visit again. Pura Vida!"

"Amazing facilities. 1st class. The food was excellent. The location was ideal. It is secluded and yet close to everything. The beaches were a block away and perfect for swimming, laying out and surfing. The hotel is surrounded by natural wildlife."

"I just loved this place! The property grounds are gorgeous and the villas are perfect! Anytime I can see wildlife right at a property… I am in the right place. And the staff I met (Olivia & Eric) could not have been more helpful. It is just south of Puerto Viejo so peaceful and quiet. Several dining options in walking distance too if you do not hav a car. Breakfast there was a nice option too (and tasty). Be sure to try the daily juice offering too. "
