"I think the overall service was nice, but the place was not. Especially the hotel restaurant had wonderful service. Hotel itself was old, well in need of some redoing. There was dust between the windows, like it was cleaned 2 years ago. Also the view to Stora Enso power plant isn't that great tbh :D "

"A unique hotel close to the heart of Savonlinna. Easy stay and had a good breakfast with plenty of options. Rooms can get hot in the summer as there was no ac, just a fan. Luckly visited at the end of summer with lower temperatues"

"The room was spacious, with an ok bed and a nice sauna. However, the room was not what was promised, and the staff wasn't there at all. First of all, we should have had a double bed and a sofa-bed, but only had two single-person beds. Then, the promised lake view wasn't really a lake view: it was a view across the yard with the lake in the background. The balcony table was so dirty the paper towel I used to wipe it turned black. Also, there were only shutters and very light curtains, so...

"I was met by the owner Passi who was waiting for me. I had booked into one of the apartments but wes told that I was staying in one of the cottages by the lake. Passi took me to the cottage which has its own wood burning sauna and stunning views looking out to Lake Orivesi. It was really peaceful and it has its own private beach and a rowing boat plus a swing which I must admit I spent quite a bit of time on there. The centre of Kitee is about 20 minutes away in a car so if like me you do not...
