"Clean. Not situated in city centre, but still convenient as there are many restaurants nearby. Very close to airport and train station. So it’s convenient, but at the same time a bit noisy when there are flights takeoff/landing."

"Great place to stay in Taiyuan. All the rooms are on the upper floors of a tower block - ours had a great view over the busy city to a lake and distant mountains (when the smog cleared!) The facilities of the hotel are top class and there's an excellent Chinese restaurant - great choice of delicious food at reasonable prices. On the other hand the breakfast wasn't particularly good value."

Beautiful place for breakfast, Chinese breakfast did not suit my wife but great coffee and orange juice, i think they own luckin coffee next door. Room was lovely but we are getting too old for a futton on the floor that was the only downside. I think some rooms had softer beds Hotel picked up from train and dropped off great service. Dont really speak english but they had translator on the phone so it was fine. Staff...

"I only booked this hotel as Lonley Planet noted its right by the train station, well yes the old station, but its a fair way from the new fast train station! Otherwise just one thing, my booking was for 2 people including breakfast, which was written on my booking which I had printed out and showed the hotel staff. But they said that only entitled me to only one free breakfast and I would have to pay for the other breakfast, even though they agred my booking was for 2 people including breakfast....

"Perfection. Perfect location, lovely room in a stunning courtyard and garden. Staff were super friendly and gave me advice on getting around (and gave me lots of water as they were worried about me on my long onward train ride!)"

"'Standard' Chinese hotel. I stayed there for one night because it is close to the airport. I would not stay there again. Room stinks, bathroom stinks even more. No smoking rooms don't exist. No AC or heating. Fortunately staff was very friendly and did speak English. Do not pay more than £30 for night. "
