"It's seen better days. Quality of the meals was disappointing. Room was spacious and clean but the property in general is tired and needs upgrading. It's a bit on the outskirts of the main part of Yamashiro Onsen but there's a bus stop across the street if you want to get into town. We took it to get to Yamanaka Onsen and to Kakusenkei Gorge."

Our hosts for the two nights, Natalie and Mizu, were extremely helpful and friendly. The meals, all in a private room, were excellent and gave us an authentic experience of Japanese breakfast and dinner cuisines. "
