"The week before we had a wonderful room on the top floor, but one week later, we had a room on the sixth floor that had 2 lights out in the bathroom, the ceiling above the shower needed painting, and the room felt dirty. It was still satisfactory because the bed was comfortable. We really liked Georgi in the restaurant in the evening. He was wonderful and we liked the friendly waitress in the morning at breakfast. The food was also good."

"Amazing spa, gym. the hotel has a semi-olympic swimming pool (25mtr) with 4 large lines. All equipment available (flippers, boards,....). Recommend for swimmers (open at 7:00 morning time). Staff from the reception is extremelly helpful and polite. Good breakast. Room service would need a little bit more choice"

We had been thinking it was the Coop horel - but it's seemed to be actually the Co-Op as they had pictures of the Rochdale Pioneers from the 18th century in the bedroom corridors. Aircon in our room seemed unavailable, both us and our frields seemed to have a choice of 'heat' or 'fan' (couldn't detect a difference on any 'fan' settings) and it was too noisy to open the window - lucily it wasn't really hot while we were there. "Hotel was spotlessly clean and service throughout the hotel was excellent. The hotel was modern, new carpets and modern furnishings. Our room was excellent and the lift takes you up to each floor. The breakfast was superb, very large range of continental plus cooked food such as an English breakfast, the coffee out of the two machines was exceptional. "It is in the amazing location, in front of a park. In several minutes, you can walk to the cathedral, parliament, the University of Sofia (one block) and many cafes and restaurants. The hotel has the traditional value of a great hotel. Staff are properly attired. Furniture is solid wood. Brass handles in the washroom are all well polished shiny."
