Top Aber Mawr Hotel Reviews
The Grove Hotel
8/10 Good
"Damp smell in the bedroom was less than ideal. Otherwise, decent. Nice room (bar the smell) but tiny bathroom. Pool table and darts in the bar. Pub grub food but was done well. Well located. Free parking."
St David's Cross Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I had a wonderful stay, all the staff was very smiley, helpful and professional. Food was amazing and very generous. Fantastic breakfast!!"
Twr Y Felin Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This was hands down our best overnight stay in Wales. The hotel is fabulous. The staff are amazing. Rooms are modern and every detail has been painstakingly well considered. The art on every wall is so interesting. We were absolutely blown away. I had mentioned that we were on a trip celebrating my partner’s birthday and they arranged a bottle of prosecco. Alison at reception was one of the most helpful and kind people in that role. We truly cannot say enough about this hotel."
Penrhiw Priory
8/10 Good
"The tranquil setting and gorgeous building felt very special. We also enjoyed the gourmet breakfast that started the day . My only observation is that the Arts & Crafts building offers an opportunity to enhance that throughout rather than what is on the walls now, and feels like generic hotel decor that could be found anywhere. The priory is special, and that could be enhanced."
OYO Ocean Haze Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great location on outskirts of St David’s and big room with a sitting area and had a sea view and patio. Rooms on ground floor so no problems with lugging cases etc. Huge bathroom. Wet room style so no bath."
Ramsey House
10/10 Excellent
"This B&B could not be any more perfect. It is lovely, charming and quiet. The owners Suzanne and Shaun are incredibly helpful, friendly and gracious, and what’s more serve up a delicious breakfast. It’s a short walk into St Davids and to the coastal walking path. We stayed four nights and wish we could have stayed longer!"
Swn y Môr - 1 Bedroom Cottage - Whitesands
8/10 Good
"The good: the place is very cute and the location is good - close-ish to town but also out in the country with views of white sands bay. Mattress was very comfy. Place is well equipped enough for a short stay. The bad: They need to fire their cleaning person and whatever god awful overseas service they use for their communications. Communication with the actual host via chat is non-existent. It’s all some person overseas. The place itself needs a good cleaning. Dust accumulated on furniture and kitchen that looks like it hasn’t been dusted in months. Like you could write in it. But the worst part was the linens and towels. Both towels were clearly not laundered or laundered very poorly. One had a stain that looked like feces and had “texture” if you get my drift. Sheets were stained. We sent a message and got 1 new towel and a single sheet plopped on the bed when we returned. What???? lol. When I asked about additional clean linens we got the generic “rest assured we are communicating with the property manager” but no new linens. I’d give the place another try since it was overall fairly nice if they fixed these things. One other thing to be aware of - the cottage is part of a group of 5-6 other cottages/buildings on what used to be a farm. It’s not off by itself if that matters to you."
Awel y Môr - 3 Bedroom Cottage - Whitesands
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was marvellous as usual but I have a couple of requests: maybe a small bolt on the bathroom door. I was interrupted often by small children!! The glass recycling box was missing so used a carrier bag. Spare food recycling bags pls. Otherwise, terrific. We all love it there. "
