Nestled in the heart of Speyside, Brylach Steading is a beautifully restored Victorian steading dating back to 1873, where history, comfort and natural beauty come together. Once home to the horses and carriages of the Dunbar Dunbar family’s holiday residence, this characterful property now offers three charming self-catering retreats: The Bothy, The Hayloft, and The Coachman’s Cottage, all thoughtfully converted from the original stables and carriage houses.
Centred around an impressive stone courtyard with sweeping views across the Glen, Brylach Steading is a peaceful hideaway and an ideal base for exploring all that Speyside has to offer. From world-class whisky distilleries and iconic golf courses to salmon fishing on the River Spey, scenic walking and cycling routes, and abundant wildlife, there truly is something for everyone. Nearby villages such as Rothes, Craigellachie and Aberlour offer welcoming cafés, traditional inns and local shops, while Elgin is just a short drive away.
Whether you’re seeking a relaxing countryside escape or an adventure-filled Highland holiday, Brylach Steading offers warmth, comfort and a genuine sense of place. The cottage sleeps up to 2 guests maximum and has been restored to a high standard.
The bedroom has a king-size bed with comfortable mattress and lovely bedding, along with gorgeous views across Rothes Glen.
The bathroom has an electric shower with toiletries provided.
The lounge and dining area is an open-floor space, with comfy sofa and new flat screen TV with streaming apps. There is a cosy log burner and dining space for two.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the usual kitchen amenities with oven, fridge, small freezer, kettle, toaster, and tea & coffee making ingredients. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine for convenience.
Guests have full access to the gorgeous courtyard featuring patio furniture to relax outdoors. There are additional seating areas to enjoy in the private woodland to escape and watch the birds and spot red squirrels.
We are dog friendly as we have a small dog ourselves, and supply a doggy kit for all dog stays. That said, we are very proud of our cottage and expect all furry friends to be well-behaved. Dogs must be kept off all furniture at all times, to keep the cottage as clean as possible.
All cottage has complimentary parking directly in front of the property, Wi-Fi & self check-in and check-out.
