You can tell the team takes great pride in keeping everything clean and comfortable. "I had a good stay at Porto Castello Hotel in Santorini and would recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a clean, budget-friendly place in a convenient location. The room was clean, although it looked a bit dated. There was also a strong fresh paint smell that was a little overpowering during our stay. One suggestion I have is for the hotel to use fitted sheets. While the mattress itself was clean, it only had a flat sheet over it, which kept sliding off throughout the night. We constantly had to pull it back into place so we wouldn’t end up sleeping on the bare mattress. The room included a mini fridge and a small private patio with chairs, which was a nice spot to relax and enjoy lunch or dinner. The pool was excellent and very clean during summer but it’s quite deep, so families with young children who can’t swim should keep that in mind. The highlight of our stay was the older gentleman at the reception. He was incredibly kind and helpful. He helped us order food around 10:00 p.m. when most places were closing, and he also arranged a private island tour with transportation for just €50, which was much cheaper than the prices we found online. The location is convenient, about 10 minutes from the airport, and the hotel offers airport transfers for €25, making arrival and departure very easy. Overall, despite a few minor issues, we enjoyed our stay. The helpful staff, clean rooms, nice pool, and good value make Porto Castello Hotel a place I would recommend."

"In a word amazing! This is a family run boutique hotel, and they really make you feel like family. Almost every thing we did on the island was through recommendations from the family. They upgraded us to a two bedroom without even asking just because they had it available and saw that we were a party of four. Amazing room, was more like a house, with a private pool and patio! The included breakfast, room service, and everything about the food was amazing. I highly recommend the chicken risotto, I've never had anything like it before, and I don't think I ever will again, because it was their own homemade creation. Thank you for everything!"
