As we were driving to this town I asked the host if there were any specific check in instructions we should know about as we were headed to the VRBO. I got a reply that our booking had been cancelled, that they sold the property. There was absolutely no discussion of this prior to me asking about check in instructions…it left us in a difficult position trying to find a last-minute place for 6 of us to stay. Very disappointing, very unprofessional.

I booked and paid for this stay, I left a message for the host by phone text and VBRO. When we arrived the host told me that we could not stay there. This was very traumatic for 4 old ladies. We spent several hours driving around and phoning around to try to find somewhere else to stay. When we found somewhere we had to climb many flights of stairs carrying luggage. Trying to find parking was very stressful. We had to share beds, bathrooms and there was no air conditioning or breakfast. These are all things I had considered when booking this apartment with VBRO.I am very disappointed with this experience and embarrassed as I researched made and paid for the booking for the group. The host was not helpful and hung up on my call.I would like some additional compensation for this disastrous situation as my recommendations and confidence in VBRO is now very low.
