"Perfect location close to the water and walkable to the main shopping area and restaurants within 5 minutes on the flat (which was ideal in the ice/snow as the hills looked slippery) The hotel has been beautifully decorated, the included breakfast was great and the basic double room was plenty big enough. Will be recommending to anyone I know if they travel to Akureyri. "

The view across the fjord to Akureyri is stunning but beware driving at night or in bad weather as the road to the hotel is narrow, winding and unlit and as the hotel only serves breakfast you need to get into Akureyri for an evening meal. "
