"Had a wonderful overnight in Vik. The staff were super friendly and the room had a lovely view. We ate at the hotel restaurant and had one one the best meals we have ever had! Again, the view from the dining area was beautiful and the included breakfast was great. "

"I am sure when it is full in the summer it will be less quiet. It was a great location as a base for our exploration and has loads of interesting Viking artifacts. Room was small but sufficient, breakfast was nice, they made us a sandwich we picked up the second morning because we had to leave to get to the airport before breakfast. Hot pool was great after a long day of walking and driving. Everyone spoke English really well. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Iceland!"

"The Alda is in a perfect location, on the "high street" and close to everything, but not noisy and feels very safe. The rooms are not fancy, but clean and comfortable. I could have used a dresser or just a few drawers. The Brass restaurant downstairs was great, and their breakfast was yummy and fresh. The staff were unfailingly helpful, with a special shout-out to the hardworking Ursula. We would happily stay again. "
