Everything was wonderful at the hotel and spa. Unfortunately there was a family there that had a small child and the child came to our table several times at dinner with the nanny chasing after him. We also had breakfast with the same family - so again, not super relaxing.

It was an okay, very outdated room and hotel. It did the job, but could have been better. I’m sure this place used to be the hottest hotel in the area, but since the evacuation over a year ago, the place is still a ghost town and this hotel has gone with it. We enjoyed our stay! Fish and Chips restaurant next door was convenient. Quiet and safe with parking. Would stay again.

You can spend time studying the exhibits at Kvikan Saltfish Museum in Grindavik. While in this relaxing area, you can savour the top-notch restaurants.

Great hot dogs and ice cream in the nearby petrol station opposite the accommodation.
Clean and quiet place to explore the nature of Iceland, better than the city town.
There are a few nice restaurants, and generally on a good road that is close to some of the main sites on the east coast.
