"Check-in was very easy. Instructions were provided beforehand by message and email. Staff were friendly and polite. Room was clean, however walls were thin and alarm went off around midnight, but was cleared promptly. Otherwise would consider staying here again."

"The Aurora Hotel is a short walk from KEF airport. Basically walk out the west door and take the cross walk past the parking lot and you are there. I gave the condition of the hotel a 4 star instead of a 5 star only because of the exterior where you walk in the entrance. We almost walked past it because it didnt look like a front entrance (but it was). However the staff were wonderful. Valence at the front desk was so lovely and helped us out on our first night when we booked two rooms and we were all arriving at different times and on our final night, once again she made sure we had rooms next to one another. There is a young man who is on the housekeeping staff on the 6th floor who carried a very heavy duffle bag in the door for us/very thoughtful. The only downside is food is very expensive but if you have time for breakfast pre-buy it because it is very good and self serve with an assortment of coffees, much needed with early flights and opens at around 4am and ends at 10am. The rooms were very clean/lovely. Definitely the perfect spot to stay at by the airport."

"I would definitely return were I back in Reykjavik at some point. I only needed a one night stay between flights, but it was great in terms of it's location in relationship to the airport (only 9 minutes away) and also relatively close to the Blue Lagoon - about 20 minutes away. I chose a room with a shared bath, but both of them were impeccably clean. I never interacted with the staff at all. I just picked up my key from the lock box and then returned it there on my way to the airport in the morning."
