"There isn't any staff to help, none that I noticed but I was aware of this while I booked. Got my code and easily got in my room. Fairly cute and very comfortable. The area has a walking path just outside of it that I briefly utilized. Was only here for one night so I can't really say much else in regards to the town. The walls however are paper thin. I hear this about other hotels but this one felt like our neighbors were in the room with us. Glad I didn't need to stay longer. Hence the one star removal. Had a restaurant attached which is very convenient but also didn't check it out."

"The concierge was outstanding and the room was as well appointed with high end L’Occitaine shower products. Dinner was wonderful at Max’s. Breakfast was just okay with very basic fruit, plain crepes, and a lack of variety in the offerings. The thermostat in the rooms were set to 75 degrees, far too warm for a restful sleep. The spa was acceptable however there was no hot spring or complimentary access to the Blue Lagoon next door. It was exciting to be staying on the sight of a volcanic powered geothermal plant. The Grindavik magma field is directly out of our hotel window. If the breakfast is improved and room service added along with a plunge pool or hot spring soaking this will be a 5 star stay. We appreciated the exceylocation to Reykjavík and nearby natural wonders which were breathtakingly beautiful."

"The hotel is located about 15 minutes from Catholic Airport, on a quiet Cape, although it can be subject to windy weather. The decor is rustic, wood panel, with modern amenities and comfortable beds. The restaurant is excellent, and breakfast is included, with the option of a takeout bag if you need to leave before breakfast hours in order to catch a flight. Reception staff were very accommodating and helpful, and the room contains a book of suggested activities nearby. It’s a great option if you don’t want to stay in an airport hotel, although there is no shuttle to the airport. We would gladly stay again."
