"I booked Kef Guesthouse through Expedia and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The listing stated “shared bathroom,” but the photographs and presentation on Expedia did not, in my view, fairly reflect the actual accommodation experience or the communal bathroom setup. We only realized the true nature of the bathroom arrangement after receiving the room/access details, entering the room, and seeing the setup for ourselves. We were not comfortable staying there. We remained in the room for only approximately 15–20 minutes, did not use the bed, bathroom, towels, or any facilities, and left the room exactly as we found it. Despite this, the property refused to consider any refund, partial refund, or goodwill waiver, relying strictly on the non-refundable booking policy. I understand that non-refundable bookings have rules, but I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility or consideration given the circumstances, especially where we did not actually use the room or facilities. I would strongly advise future travelers to carefully confirm the exact bathroom arrangement and room setup before booking, particularly if booking through a third-party site. The accommodation may suit some travelers, but it was not what we expected from the listing and was not suitable for us."

"Proximity to the airport cannot be beat…nor the 12noon checkout (if you have an early morning flight and need to rest for a few hours)!"

"I skipped breakfast but after peeking in, I realize I should have added it. The room was nice and up to date with a nice shower and a comfy bed, though it was two singles together. TV didn’t get very good reception but I’m not here to watch TV. The check in and out process was easy, the staff was friendly, and I could see the ocean from my window and I could see a walking trail that was just next to the hotel and I walked on it to the rock and roll museum down the road. This little town next to the airport is very walkable from this hotel of you’re on a layover and don’t want to pay a hefty taxi fee to the big city. I’d certainly stay here at the hotel jazz again. "

"My only complaint was the hot tub was closed big part of my decision to book. It was construction but was upsetting."

However, the photos were a bit misleading—it looked like the room had an extra bed that wasn’t actually there. Overall, it worked well for a short stay, but the listing could be more accurate."

"I arrived in the morning and the host was very accommodating. The room was very cozy and clean as well as the bathrooms and shared areas. I was very comfortable with my stay and the view of the northern lights was right outside the cottage. I would definitely stay here again!"
