Hot Tub + Cowboy Pool in Old Town ☀ Property Buyout at The Desert Compass

The Desert Compass is a boutique 6 suite vacation rental property located in the heart of Old Town Albuquerque. Our historic adobe compound can host your entire group of up to 20 people with 6 unique private accommodations and a secluded common outdoor area for gathering, relaxing, and connecting. Excellent for family reunions, milestone birthday parties, gatherings of friends, or other group accommodations.

Each of our 6 suites has its own bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, so everyone in your group will have a completely private space of their own. The gardens are a great place to host meals, make s'mores by the fire pit, and relax in our cowboy pool (open May - September). Just steps from The Desert Compass property you will be able to walk to Albuquerque's best restaurants, bars, museums, shopping, and historic neighborhoods.

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: Most of our suites are not suitable for pets or children under 12. We may be able to make exceptions in some circumstances (for 1-2 pets and/or 1-2 children). Please contact us before booking if would like to inquire about groups with pets or children.

very captivating & serene

The desert compass was the venue we chose to celebrate our wedding. after looking at photos and touring the property we knew right away it was the perfect match. on top of the very friendly staff that was always very diligent at keeping good communication and always willing to go above and beyond. The property manager taya was always ready to answer our most intricate questions and even the cleaning staff was very helpful and considerate about how they worked around the area while you stay there. it has been less than a day since we checked out and we are still in awe at how beautiful this place was, from the attention to detail in each room to the beautiful garden full of many different flowers that gave this place such a magical feel. It was so perfect in every way imaginable and so so nice to have our closest friends and family stay with us on the property. they loved every bit of it as much as we did.

I Didn’t want to check out!

Not quite sure how to adequately put into words how incredible the stay was here. Everything was so beyond cute (dream house goals for real lol), it was clean, it smelt sooo good, and everything was designed so intentionally. They truly did not skimp out or miss any details. From enough USB ports to charge your electronics, good Wi-fi, easily on of the comfiest beds and pillows I’ve ever had at any hotel or Airbnb. They truly thought of everything. I did NOT want to check out. Wish I could have moved in tbh. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future!
