Monastery of Alcobaca was one the first Gothic built in Portugal. It currently houses the Tomb of King Pedro I.
The dormitory is a big Gothic room where the monks slept together: only the abbot was allowed to have his own room. The Alcobaça Monastery is an impressive Medieval Roman Catholic monastery located in the town of Alcobaça. The church and monastery were one of the first Gothic buildings and one of the most important medieval monasteries in Portugal. Arrived January 20 for a week. It was conveniently located, making it walkable to all areas. The room was spotless. Check in was fast and staff were very helpful. They always had their famous little tarts in the lobby with fruit water. I would recommend this hotel.

With a super location to explore Lisbon, the hotel provides luxurious comfort at the end of a day of walking. Our twin room was airy, bright and had everything you needed. Breakfast buffet was great and worth upgrading the stay. All staff we spoke to were very friendly and polite and sincerely wanted to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Book it. You wont be disappointed!

The property has everything you need. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean but they don’t vacuum the floors very well. The breakfast is wonderful.
