The location of this hotel is perfect! It is across the street from the Royal Palace and within walking distance to Gran Via, Plaza Major, Plaza del Sol, etc. Staff was nice. Only thing was, I stood for 4 nights and the AC did not work. I brought it up to their attention twice and no one stopped by to take a look at it. They gave me instructions over the phone and it still didn't work.
They also didn't have an Iron in the room.. I asked front desk for one and they said they didn't have enough and couldn't provide one for me so I had to walk around on my vacation with wrinkle clothes right out the luggage. On the 3rd day, I had to ask again and then they gave me one.
Other than that, it was nice and property and room was clean and quite.

When we went to pool it was closed for a private event...the room was a place to sleep did not really wow us at all. That being said the breakfast was amazing! The rooftop bar and resteaunt was also very nice.

The breakfast and drinks on rooftop need improvement. The help for the drinks on roof was very bad. It is a beautiful space but the help was not good and she didn't seem to care. The breakfast food was mediocre compared to my first stay in 2019. But the space is lovely.

The menu was fine, but the pancakes machine doesn't work. The amenities are really good, and all the place too. In the middle of the city, all the attractions were close to the hotel.

Very welcoming and extremely helpful staff. We are particularly grateful to Maria for sorting out forward travel and problems with home communications. Lovely historic building in the walls of Avila restored to a high standard. Restaurant food excellent.
