"Wow…this place was spectacular. Very unique in that it’s on a 50 acre farm, with hiking trails, and directly on the French Broad River. The house is newer and very clean. The drive in/on the property is hilly but short. This was great due to other stays with long mountain drives. But the placement and feel of this home feel secluded and private. "This is an older but well maintained hotel. Really the only things showing their age were the elevators and the air conditioning units. The room was very clean with no smell, and the beds were extremely comfortable. No noise issues even though the hotel is downtown. The breakfast buffet and made to order omelets are well above average. They would be pricey if bought a la carte, I got a deal when adding them to the room ahead of time, making it very worth it."

"The hotel is fun and has a great vibe. The room was clean and bed comfortable. There were a couple of things that didn’t work for us. First the room is really small. There is no closet and the sink for the bathroom is in the room. There isn’t room to lay out two suitcases…maybe one. But there also isn’t any place to unpack and store your stuff except for the pegs on the wall. The other thing was the back and side wall of the shower are frosted glass and are what divides the bathroom from the room. This is a problem if someone wants to get up early and take a shower… when the light comes on in the bathroom it lights up the whole room!"
