"The staff were very inviting and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great weekend. I got a firm pressure massage and it was amazing, the masseuse was very kind and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The dinner was fantastic and the server was very friendly and attentive to us. The room was very nice and the fireplace was a very nice touch. The whole resort was very clean and the pool was fantastic. Even tho the sauna wasnt working the trip was still amazing and we definitely plan on returning."

"This place is heaven. Secluded yet accessible. Rustic yet so well equipped. Close to route 60 and Algonquin Park and all the Beauty it offers. The property is cosy, warm and home from home. We enjoyed our stay so much. Communication from Dale was excellent with great tips for sunset and skies watching. Strongly recommend a stay here . In winter it must be so beautiful. The otters in the river near by enjoyed being filmed. Thank you Dale"
"We had an excellent 3-night stay at this cottage! The location is perfect for anyone planning to hike in Algonquin Park, as it’s just minutes from the park’s east entrance. The cottage is situated on a quiet street, making it a peaceful place to relax after a day of hiking. The cottage was very clean and, by far, the best-stocked cottage I’ve ever rented. The beds were comfortable, the hot water was plentiful and very hot, the heating worked well, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. Everything was exactly as it should be, and I had absolutely no issues during my stay.A special mention to Stephanie, the owner, and the caretaker, who both responded to messages within minutes. Their prompt communication was much appreciated.I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the area, especially hikers exploring Algonquin Park!"
"My family had awesome stay in this cottage. It was clean & convenient just by the lake. Brett went out of his way to provide us with clean linens, we didn’t expect but we had brought our own linens. Location is perfect & easy access to lake and the beach. We wished we had come here in summer. It’s a Thanksgiving long weekend so water was colder & my kids didn’t get to swim. We will definitely be back next summer…."

"What a gorgeous mini resort! Everything that was in the description was exactly what we got plus more. We needed nothing but our personal essentials. The hosts were very easy to work with and very accommodating. The seclusion and privacy of this cottage was unparalleled. It was accommodating for all ages from babies all the way up to seniors. Both indoor and outdoor activities provided for all ages were over the top! Every detail in the finish of the cottage was outstanding. The decor, quality and function of all components all worked. We will definitely book this cottage again!"
"Our 4th year here — and that probably says it all! This year was 7 teenagers and 2 adults, and everyone had a fantastic time.Check-in was easy, communication with Janet was great before and during our stay, and the cottage was clean and well stocked. The binders with cottage and local information are really helpful too.We noticed a LOT of upgrades since last year, including some things we weren’t expecting. After four years, it’s really nice to see the continued investment and care that Janet and Nelson put into the property. With 7 teenagers, we needed to make sure they kept busy! We brought our own ATVs, paddle boards, badminton net, Spikeball and bocce ball. They also loved the canoe, kayaks and paddle boat, plus swimming, fishing, campfires, cornhole, walking and exploring. After the campfire, the kids played cards and games in the main cottage, then headed to the basement for board games and old VHS movies from the cottage library. Seven teenagers happily watching VHS tapes was pretty funny! The lake and area are so quiet and peaceful, and everyone we ran into was so friendly. There is tons of space for your own activities, which is a huge bonus with a big group. Our biggest pest was the stable flies — obviously not something Janet can control. Cell service is best by the lake, but I’m not complaining about that either! The 17-year-old boys told me they had the best week ever and would never forget it. Honestly, that’s probably the best review we could give "
"The chalet has a wonderful view and the setting is peaceful and quiet. The amenities are excellent. My wife enjoyed the large soaker bathtub. The layout of the open concept kitchen, living room and bedroom is well done."
Sandy Shores Cabin on Lake St. Peter with Fire Pit+BBQ
8/10 Good
"First the pluses. He beach was absolutely perfect for the little grandchildren as well as adults. Sand was clean and the water was quite shallow all the way to the dock. After that the water was deep and perfect for swimming. We all had a great time. Now the negatives. The cottage did not come with all the amenities listed. There is no air conditioning and the tv is an antique. The photos make the interior look larger than it actually is. The pic from the beach was misleading. The actual cottage is not the gray log cottage that is front and centre - it is the much smaller little red building on the very edge of the picture. The initial condition of the property was terrible however after contacting the host, cleaners were sent and they did a very good job of making it check in ready. According to the cleaners there was an issue coordinating calendars. I don’t expect that experience to be repeated. The cleaning crew was efficient, friendly and very apologetic."
