Cabin feels with little perks

"This is a great place to stay if you are interested in being away, seeing the stars close to the dark skies formal parks, and if you have a pet and kids. It's got the cozy feel of a cabin with a great deck. We were there in a heat wave and the owner had two AC units put in for us-I am guessing that is not normal for the area-if it had been a few degrees cooler we would have slept with the windows open). They had smart TVs and 3 ways to make your coffee (thank you for the French Press), as well as a great grill and a well supplied kitchen with pots, pans, plates, etc for us to cook there. And a good number of games and puzzles on top of it all. It took 20 minutes to get to Cherry Spring State Park-and it was worth it! There are a few hikes within easy access too. Our Corgi was welcome and relaxed in the space quite easily-she also enjoyed the porch. We would book it again! "

"First, the few issues. Breakfast is only OJ, a few bagels, cream cheese, butter, dried cereal, bananas, and coffee. No yogurt, pastries, eggs, or much fruit. Such an easy thing to fix. The multiple threats around the pantry to not steal or video will be turned over to the police for prosecution is offensive to paying guests. There has to be a better way. The place is a bit dated and needs a refresh. The TV remotes were difficult to work from a distance. Ten of the parking spots are reserved as EV charging stations. They were all empty, but signs warned that non EV vehicles parked there would be towed AOE. Since they are available for non-guests, paying guests seem not to be the top priority. There are many positives, and they out balance the annoying but minor issues. The people are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and properly supplied. They are spacious and comfortable for sleeping. The location is good for exploring and shopping. I would certainly stay here again because all the essentials are done well."

Quiet Cozy Home in God's Country Potter County PA

A wonderful quiet place to stay

"This was such a lovely place to stay. Instructions were clear, checking in a breeze, and being greeted with a 2 liter of soda and homemade cupcakes was a real treat. The kitchen was well stocked, including condiments and several frozen pizzas and pot pies were available. I love that there wasn’t a cumbersome list of check-out chores. Richard is a great, thoughtful host who labeled all of the cabinets so everything was easy to find. Thanks to his bin of children’s toys, we made some unexpected memories playing games with our son and were content to just relax and be together instead of out doing things all the time. We would definitely stay here again!"

"We loved this place. For being rustic, everything was well thought of to make this a relaxing and refreshing experience. When leaving, we felt a bittersweet feeling. We enjoyed the wildlife and taking walks. A lovely area! The one thing it needed...cows on the hillside with bells around their necks! As I said in the beginning, we LOVED this place! "
