Blaumar Hotel Salou

Blaumar Hotel Salou

10/10 Excellent
"Excellent hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. Clean and well kept. Apartment building slightly different age to main hotel but once in the apartment, the room standard was high again. Beds and linens very comfortable. Nice area for younger kids to chill in out of the sun and play games etc. Pool was gorgeous. And no saving sun loungers! Breakfast excellent with a great choice. WiFi not great outside the main building/lobby/lounge areas, that is my only little negative. But it was a good excuse to switch off more and not even look at phones."

PortAventura Hotel El Paso - Includes unlimited access to PortAventura Park & 1 day access to Ferrari Land

8/10 Good
"Great hotel located a few minutes walk to the Portaventura parks, and to Hotel Caribe. Pool is large enough for everyone to swim (we went during May and again in June). Breakfast options are vast, we missed our allocated slot but the restaurant staff are friendly and happy to accommodate guest's anyway (they even opened the restaurant earlier as our flight time was 9am). Reception staff are friendly and accommodating, but the queues at reception can get long at busy times in te year. Overall a great hotel, close to the action, a short taxi distsnce to the beach and Salou's restaurants."

"Really lovely 3 night stay at this apart hotel. Pool was great, always got a sunbed. It’s part residential. You can’t access the pool until 10am so no one sneaking down at 7am to bag a sunbed! Reception really helpful. It’s basic but clean and friendly. In a great quiet spot just 10 mins from the beach and one street away from restaurants, bars and shops."

PortAventura Hotel Gold River - Includes unlimited access to PortAventura Park & 1 day access to Ferrari Land

8/10 Good
"We had a fantastic 3-night stay at PortAventura Hotel Gold River as a family of four, with our two children aged 10 and 12. The hotel was excellent and the Wild West theme made the whole experience feel like part of the adventure. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for all four of us, and the location within the resort was brilliant. The biggest bonus was the unlimited access to PortAventura Park, which made it so easy to come and go without having to worry about tickets. Having a full day included at Ferrari Land was also a real highlight, and the kids absolutely loved it. There was plenty to keep everyone entertained, with fantastic rides, shows and attractions for both children and adults. We particularly enjoyed being able to walk straight from the hotel into the park and make the most of our time there. Overall, it was a brilliant family break. The combination of a great hotel, excellent park access and Ferrari Land made it really good value and took away much of the hassle of organising everything separately. We would definitely stay at Hotel Gold River again and would highly recommend it to families looking for a fun-filled PortAventura getaway."

Hotel Best Negresco

Hotel Best Negresco

10/10 Excellent
"Definitely get the sea view room. Location is everything with this place. We went for the eclipse and as an older couple we enjoyed a relaxing day at the pool. It was not the kind of place we normally go. It is perfect for families and it was nice to see people having fun without screens. The staff was helpful but not intrusive. Appreciated that they were on top of keeping the floors dry with everyone dripping water. The place is a bit dated but it had a charm to it. The pool is the main feature and it was kind of nice that they close it early so you can enjoy the peaceful sea views in the evening. Elevators were a complaint for some but we were on the 3rd floor and didnt mind walking down. The other issue is the parking but we totally lucked out getting there early to get a spot near the hotel. We just kept up on paying the meter every 4 hours until the evening when parking was free."

"Fabulous hotel nearer to the old town . Good points … Air conditioning in the room Cleanliness standards 10/10 Rooftop swimming pool Points to be aware of … Wi-Fi abit hit and miss The spa prices are extortionate! 55 euros for 60 mins ! If they been longer or cheaper I would have tried it . The hot breakfast selection was not good."

"Lovely apartment with comfy beds. I asked for a high floor room and got one at the top with good views inland. Good size balcony. The swimming pool is open but only after 10 am. Across the road are bus stops and an excellent information bus hub. [Ask about a bus to the airports.] This is a quieter, greener end of Salou so you may be using local buses a lot. I recommend walking the coast path and visiting all the little local beaches. [Warning. The nearest beaches are one heck of a climb.] A trip to Tarragona is a must, especially for fans of ancient Rome. A Dac supermarket is just across the road but the best is Coviran just past the information hub. The bad... Check in takes ages and you have to leave a credit card deposit of 200 euros. The hotel next door is a bit noisy but the entertainment stops at 11pm and the patio doors shuts off the noise. Permanent residents live here as well as holiday guests. You need to leave the apartment clean tidy and free of your own rubbish including any leftovers you might leave for the cleaner [who comes only after you've vacated it.] I would stay here again providing I had the same room."
