It was actually amazing from the time we got there to the time I left. It was in a beautiful place. The house itself is absolutely amazing. The economies they have for everybody is amazing the atv the fishing, the hot tub the salmon River just the sounds. All around the house is absolutely beautiful perfect getaway. We’re already looking forward to try to see in about the winter. It’s gonna even be better than not any complaints. Absolutely amazing.
This property has lots of privacy. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway then this is the place. The hot tub was great after walking the trails behind the property(my kids loved it). You can hear the Salmon River from the back deck. It was rainy on one of the days so the smart tv and card games came in handy. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and the home exceeded our expectations.
My partner and I needed a post holiday get away to rest and reconnect with nature and eachother. This cabin was perfect for some much needed R&R! The hot tub in the snow was incredible! The hike along the back by the river was refreshing. Drew was extremely easy to work with and talk to. Clean and made for a wonderful regroup and refuel for the new year. We hope to come back again when we can stay longer
Awesome place. Clean, plenty of room, new appliances. Check in/out was seamless easy! Drew was very responsive and clear in communication with us as well. Hot tub was awesome after a few long days of fishing! Highly recommend
This place was so clean, and communication with the owner was great. It was very peaceful. Saw deer and Turkey everyday and other wildlife. Although it rained off and on all week The wrap around covered deck had us able to still sit outside. The walk to the salmon River was a easy short walk. There are restaurants close by. I would highly recommend this place for the outdoorsmen.
We rented this location to explore the salmon river fishery. Its location is perfect! Located within a 5 minute ride to multiple public access fishing locations including one right at the end of the driveway which proved to be the hotspot for our trip. The lodge itself was great. Plenty of room for up to 6 adults with a unique layout allowing for everyone to get moving in the morning without being on top of each other. The hot tub and fire pit were a great end to a long day of fishing as well. The owners were responsive and provided a great binder with descriptions of local fishing spots. Good chance we’ll be back again!
Our stay was great! The lodge is private, and the rooms were clean, and toasty. All in all was perfect for some R&R.
The river is directly behind the property and is located between the upper and lower fly zone. Please be aware that you cannot fish on the actual property, and you need to be in the upper or lower fly zones if you access directly from the property. The upper zone was closed during our stay due to time of year, but the lower fly zone is open. The river was absolutely stunning. You can access either zones by walking down the trail, or driving a quick 2-5 min drive to additional fishing access. This didn’t bother us one bit as the lodge is an absolute perfect location.
We will absolutely be back! Thanks again!!
Amazing property in the middle of all of the salmon River action! Had a slight problem getting in as door lock was stuck but DrewResponded immediately on Thanksgiving day! Would definitely stay again and would give 100 stars if i could! Thanks again for a great time!
The lodge is great. We returned this year after a great stay last year. The lodge offers everything g we need for a few days of fishing and relaxation. The host is quick to respond and resolve any issues may arise. The lodge is also located right along the salmon river in short driving distance to Lake Ontario making for great fishing! We look forward to returning again next year!
We rented this lodge for 5 nights and 6 days to meet up with friends. There were 6 adults total. The place perfectly accommodated everyone. It was beautiful and had all of the described amenities. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Each room had a private bathroom. The lodge had a beautiful view of the forest area around salmon river and a wide-open field where you could watch the deer roam. We would highly recommend staying here and are considering coming back in the near future.
Overall, this is a good property that has some very nice features, including a hot tub which is very nice. The house is clean, has modern amenities and several suite like units. Comparative to other VRBO properties I have stayed at, however, the owners of the property have a book of rules that would put legal texts to shame. There are signs literally all over the property instructing you what you can’t do or can’t touch. (Make sure you take your shoes off prior to walking in!) To me, that sets a negative and non-hospitable tone upon entry. I understand that, where the property is situated, the primary clientele will be out-of-state salmon fishers who have a reputation for not being the cleanest. That said, don’t assume every client is the lowest common denominator. The property is accessed by what appears to be a gravel private road. At one point, the next-door neighbor called the owner to complain that we were driving down the road too fast. Within minutes, the owner was contacting me about it. The “road” is no longer than a quarter mile and it would be hard pressed to get even approach 20 mph considering the length and the condition of the route. The incident was just another indication that we weren’t all that welcome, and although a beautiful and well-appointed property on the Salmon River, I have no intentions of ever staying there again.
Warm, dry house. Located on the banks of the Salmon River. Owner is responsive, any issues were resolved quickly. The house is good for a relaxing holiday away from the bustle of the city, as well as fishing enthusiasts. I can safely recommend!
