This was the fifth time we (5 of us) used the house. The proximity to the water is great. The accommodations are very good and Brian is very easy to deal with and accommodating.
The host answered all our questions and responded quickly. The house was very clean and well equipped. Just a reminder to bring your sheets towels and extra pillows. Also will need a blanket in addition to the comforter in cold weather. Would come back !
The place is beautiful. We went for a long fishing WE on the salmon river. Location is great and the interior of the cabin is very charming. The hosts Brian and Andrea are easy to communicate with and respond to any questions fast.
The rental is everything you want it to be, clean, well working appliances, nice location, roomy, its our second time renting, will undoubtedly book again.
The cabin was perfect for a snowmobiling trip. The trails run right behind the house. It also can get extremely warm in the house if needed. It was -18F when we woke up but had zero issues with staying warm. The entryway room is perfect for removing snow bibs, boots, and warming up without going inside the house proper. This house gave me a goal to aim for on my own personal rural land. The only downside would be a lack of washer & dryer if you were staying longer than 3 days.
Everyone had a wonderful time!! The location is close to many activities & the house is very clean and comfortable! Very relaxing, cozy and feels like home!!
We have stayed at this amazing cabin a few times and it is by far our favorite place to stay! The layout is perfect and we were amazed at how fast they had the snow plowed before we arrived and while we were there ! Brian and Andrea are the perfect hosts!
First time staying here for a salmon fishing trip, If you have the chance to stay here Wether it’s for a fishing trip, snowmobiling,or just a relaxing time away I highly recommend it.
We have stayed with Brian and Andrea for several years now and we booked a week again for November 2025. We love this cabin. It works great for us. It is clean, comfortable and the hosts are very responsive and great people. There are many places to stay around Altmar and Pulaski but we love this cabin. This is a 5 star+ cabin!!
We enjoyed our stay at this location. We had five adults, a teen and two kids. It was clean, had what we needed to cook. I will say the fridge was a bit small and barely held our ygree days worth of food. The main area was the kitchen, dining and living room combined. It was also dmall and if we had all wanted to hang out in that area we wouldnt have been able to do so comfortably. The enclosed front porch was nice though and we all did sit out there nicely.
Perfect for our family (two college age kids and two parents!) to spend some time together. We spend as much time at the beach as we could — but it rained with the remnants of Hurricane Debbie on Saturday, so we hung out and played games and watched the Olympics instead. This was a great place to do all that. Plenty of bedroom space, and sweet natural feel. Bring your own linens — and hand soap, etc. Thanks for a nice visit!
The cabin is beautiful and out away from everything which we liked, other than the redneck neighbors. We had 2 cops there the night we checked in for a domestic. That is no reflection of the cabin or the owners in anyway though. The owners were wonderful in all communications. Even suggesting sights to see and restaurants in the area. There was so much to do in the area, that is a definite plus. The beds were very comfortable. If there were any cons to speak of I would say the kitchen was not stocked well as far as pans and dishes for cooking. We did cook in a couple times and had to make due with what was there, That in no way would make me not stay again if we are in the area again.
