The host was one of the best!! Superb views of theTyrenian sea. Great breakfasts and Amalfi was a great location to take advantage of day trips by ferry, bus or taxi. Be prepared to deal with steps up and down!

Villa orleans was a gem, super happy with our stay there. Geraldo and his wife provided excellent service and made sure we had everything we needed. He picked us up from the ferry dock and carried our luggage for us down all the stairs! They also made us breakfast every morning which was great. The views from the balcony of the room were amazing. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

Ciao. We are very sorry to receive this bad rewiev. The first information that the guest can read on Expedia website and also in the welcome message we sent to the guest is "Villa Orleans is located on a private house at 2 km from Amalfi's center and its access is via stairs (120 steps, walking down". Probably you didn't read them when you made your reservation. We think that it isn't kind to write these bad things about our Villa where you stayed from 7:30 p.m. April 21st to 9:00 a.m. April 22nd. Not one word we can read about the owner kindness the wondefrul breakfast and the overbreath view that you receive and saw in this short time of your stay. We try to do better our work. Muy bueno, Gerardo el dueño te ofrece un servicio excelente, profecional, personal. Hay que caminar, bajar escaleras para llegar al puerto (centro Amalfi) por 20 - 30 minutos por un sendero con vista al oceano y montañas, precioso, y de regreso subes en autobus. La villa muy linda, limpia con unos jardines bellos y habitaciones comodas y ducha riquisima. Desayuno personalizado, completo.

Such an amazing place! I was traveling alone and felt very safe. Gerardo was extremely helpful and kind. He picked me up from the ferry and made sure I felt comfortable getting to town and getting back to the property. The views from the villa are incredible. It’s very peaceful and a nice change of pace from the busy town center. It’s easy to walk down from the property and take the bus back. I would recommend this villa to anyone I know coming to Amalfi. If I come back I will definitely be staying here.

The host is awesome! His property is great and in a perfect location. The bed was the biggest let down. It is just a mattress sitting on top of a 1” piece of wood. I would have expected a better bed for €250 per night.

Ci è dispiaciuto molto ricevere questa unica recensione negativa. E' stata sicuramente dettata dall'amarezza per aver letto l'informazione relativa alle scale che consentono di raggiungere Villa Orleans solo qualche giorno prima dell'arrivo. La prima informazione che forniamo ai nostri ospiti sia sul sito Expedia che nel messaggio di benvenuto è relativa alle scale. Una lettura del messaggio inviato all'inizio di agosto Vi avrebbe consentito la cancellazione della prenotazione senza alcun addebito di penali che vengono invece applicate a partire dal settimo giorno prima dell'arrivo, previsto nel vostro caso per il 12 settembre. Purtroppo siete andati via subito senza aver potuto godere della vista mozzafiato di Villa Orleans, della piscina a sfioro e della cortesia del nostro staff. Gerardo & Orleans

All I can say is, wow
I don’t normally write reviews but in all of my years traveling, I have never been so well taken care of. From getting taxi accommodations at the airport, breakfast in the morning, the best restaurant recommendations and reservations, it was all just above and beyond. This place is a beautiful gem and we will definitely be back.

We loved our stay here! Villa Orleans is a stunning villa perched high on the Amalfi hillside where you’ll have spectacular sweeping views of the sparkling blue waters and amazing sunsets from every location within the villa (rooftop terrace, sun deck, infinity pool & your rooms private balcony) The rooms are well sized, modern, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The shower was spacious with multiple shower heads to choose from. If you’re looking for some peace and quiet while on your Amalfi Coast adventure, this is the place for you, and it’s just a 20-minute walk from Amalfi city center. Gerardo and his team are the most accommodating and helpful people we’ve ever met during our vacation travels. From pickup to departure, they were there to help with transportation, beach & restaurant recommendations, and every morning they offer the best “made to order” breakfast you could ask for. If you’re looking for a small family run hotel with great service, we highly recommend Villa Orleans.

We read the reviews on their property before booking like always and the theme that stuck out to me was the reoccurring message that Geraldo and Orleans were excellent people. This was something we discovered in person as they were always there to help or a simple text message away and always responded very promptly. Booked great dinner reservations for us a few nights etc. the property itself is very nice, newer, clean, private, quiet etc. Geraldo makes you a great breakfast on the patio overlooking the sea. This was a great place to stay.

Orleans & Gerardo were fantastics hosts. Gerardo picked us up at the Amalfi port and drove us to the Villa. The location is scenic and overlooks the waters with a brilliant view of the mountains around. The villa is roughly 10 minutes walk to the main town area. The breakfast was very filling and there is a machine for espresso/cappuccino/late/etc available to use. Breakfast is served with a view of the sea and is breathtaking. There is an onsite infinity pool that we would strongly recommend. Rooms are well sized, modern and have all of amenities we needed. I recommend getting a room with the sea view as sitting on the patio in the morning/evening is very much enjoyable. We plan to return to Amalfi and stay again with Orleans & Gerardo! Strongly recommended

Beautiful villa
A beautiful villa in the upper area of Amalfi. Very well maintained with a family-run host team. Gerardo and his family were attentive, went the extra mile for us, and made us feel very comfortable. Amazing views of the coastline and Amalfi. A 20 minute walk to the downtown Amalfi city centre.

Villa Orleans is a lovely villa close to the center of Amalfi. Gerardo and Orleans were gracious hosts who made us feel very welcomed. The rooms are spotless and spacious with amazing views. Breakfast was tasty and made to order. I would not stay anywhere else!

We loved staying here. It a little outside town but there is a path that you can walk down in 20 minutes and there are buses that go back up to the property. The owners are fantastic and very helpful with everything and a few times drove us down to catch the ferry.

First of all Gerardo and his team are the sweetest, kindest, most accommodating and helpful people I have ever met in any stay experience. They are just the best people. Every morning they would feed us and stuff us full of delicious food and prepare us for the day. I had problems with my leg and when I came back to my room there was an ice pack waiting for me. They are so thoughtful about their guests. Now talking about the view, just stunning. You wake up and you see the beautiful blue sea glistening under the sun with the town of Amalfi off to the side. You can never get tired of the sight. Now speaking about location, be prepared to climb stairs, you will have to work for this stay. The Villa is located in between two roads and if you climb down from the top road it’s about 125 steps and if you climb up from the bottom road it’s about 450 steps. It Was a workout! You will have to get your heart rate up. But other than that, the rooms are modern and comfortable and honestly the thing that would bring me back is Gerardo and his staff as well as the view. This place is worth it!

This property is a hidden gem. Gerardo and his wife were amazing when you called them they were very responsive and easy to talk with. The views were awesome and the breakfast every morning was unbelievable it was different everyday. We would differently go back and we hope to get better weather next time. There are a lot of steps so get ready to walk, but overall great place to stay differently worth every penny. Thanks Emmerson and Andrea

Exceptional hosts! Beautiful, clean villa with gorgeous views of the coast! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Villa. Do be aware that the villa is in the middle of a hill/cliff, so there are several stairs leading to and from the Villa, but the views and peacefulness are worth it!

We loved that we were treated with genuine kindness. Gerardo and Silvana were both very attentive to our needs . They always served you with a smile and offered you a great breakfast choice. Gerardo made reservations for us for dinner in town and his recommendations were right great. It was up in the mountain so put on your walking shoes but the view was awesome and I would definitely stay there again. If I can make one suggestion it would be to get some sort of vending machine for snacks because there is nothing around to get to eat at night so you need to eat in the town or bring something back. Overall our stay was excellent!

The views are beautiful from the private balcony and pool. The breakfast provided daily was excellent. Nice variety of fruit, bread, juice, coffee, cheese, meat, eggs and pastries. The hosts provided info on local transportation, dining, and tours, and special events. Daily housekeeping services were excellent. The wifi coverage was less than optimal.

The hotel had stunning views, clean rooms, excellent shower and a fabulous breakfast. It is nice and quiet because it is away from the town center which is very busy. You can easily walk 20 minutes downhill into town on a pedestrian path and return via bus for €1.30. Gerardo was extremely friendly and went out of his way to help with our bags and help figure out day trips. I highly recommend this hotel.

Gerardo the owner of the hotel was super friendly and helpful with tips and schedules on day trips. The ground is quiet and private. There is a infinity pool as well for you to dip in and out, unfortunately it wasn't hot enough to use when we stayed.

Gerardo and his staff was beyond accommodating! We had a last minute flight change and didn’t get in until 12hrs later than the original arrival time but Gerardo made sure he was there to greet us when we arrived at 11pm. He then turned around and had breakfast ready for us at 8am the next morning. The facility is very modern and clean. The balcony was amazing! We stayed in November so it was their slow season and were the only guests there. But regardless he made sure we had everything we needed. To get to the hotel you must be prepared to walk up and down a ton of steps as the description stated. Also the town was a bit further away 15-20mins walk or take the local bus which is right by the entrance of the hotel (after the flights of stairs). However, if you like the calmness and the beautiful view and spacious amenities, I would highly recommend it. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Villa Orleans.

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Orlean. Gerrardo picked us up at the port and his family makes us a nice breakfast every day. The location requires the use of many stairs. Would definitely return if in Almalfi.

The owner Gerardo was amazingly helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. He was friendly and made us feel like it was a home away from home. The steps down to the centre are quite intense but he was always around to help with a lift or a bus. Would recommended 100%, a lovely family run hotel
