"This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony. "Itā€™s a beautiful property in a wonderful location on the sea. The staff are absolutely beautiful and so helpful, nothing is a problem for them. The food is delicious and well presented and good value. However the hotel is undergoing a renovation so it might have been useful to know at time of booking. Also at time of check in nobody said anything. The jackhammering of concrete and belt sanding of wood close to the pool ruined the ambience but on speaking with the staff it was immediately stopped !"
