"While the inn wasn’t quite what I was expecting, it met our needs. The rooms were clean but definitely dated. The mattress sagged in a way that made me feel I might roll right off. The shower was okay but they didn’t provide body wash (shampoo & conditioner were there). The location was very convenient to the highway but not in the setting you’d picture for an old English inn. I chose this place for its proximity to the Nat’l Park but wouldn’t choose it again since there are other places that are closer. Can’t speak for the breakfast, didn’t even know they served it. Sounds like a lot of negatives for a 4 star review but like I said, it met our needs."

"Halls were dark and dingy. Room was also dark with musty smell. Gym was dirty with bugs and seem to have not been cleaned in a while."

"This is a charming home on a quite street, close to Downtown, UVA, Monticello, and other attractions. It has a 1st floor bedroom suite. Beds were very comfortable. There is a terrific great room/kitchen off the back of the house. It was well stocked and everything worked as it should. The host was very gracious and helpful. We would stay here again if back in Charlottesville."

"This English basement with its spacious porch was one of the best places we have ever rented. The hosts were easy to communicate with and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and the large table seated six. Relax on the porch and listen to the birds sing. Location! Location! Walkable to Downtown Mall or minutes away by car. Easy access to and from I-64 and 29 N. We will be back."
