The hotel is in very nice location close to everything 10-25 minutes walk very nice neighborhood. A few cafes steps away from hotel , little boutiques and shops on the same street. Albert Heijn Supermarket conveniently across the street. A couple a minute walk to tram stations. I would recommend the hotel for a few night stay although the rooms are very small and no refrigerator and the windows were not opening to get some fresh air. Upon arrival the room smelled funky. Very helpful reception area.

Melrose Hotel was pretty central to most attractions and places to eat. 20 minutes walking to some. But walking to end of road, able to use the number 17 Tram to where you wanted. Make sure you have your bank card/visa etc as no cash on trams.

There were no bath soaps offered and the beds were very dirty/gross and door latch did not work on bathroom. We had a short stay or would have switched hotels. The hotel is in what seemed to be a safe area but one street over was covered in trash. Lots of food options and walkable to the Ann Frank House.

Easy online checkin before arrival. Quick check in at the desk, polite and friendly. Nice lift, good size, but also stairs. Room underground but had window. Very clean, met all our needs. Kettle and mugs in room handy. I liked it so we have booked again for April 2024.

My fiancé and I stayed here for the night. Our first time in Amsterdam and I was happy with the stay overall. Very close to the tram, canals, and many landmarks. All walkable. Fair price, I would stay again.

Really Nice area!!! Lots of food option. Bit of a walk to the major sits. Translucent bathroom partition. Fine for us as a couple. Might not be good for friends sharing a room or families. Would stay here again.

This was the tiniest twin room I've ever shared with my sister. I'm glad it was with her, as the frosted glass door to the shower left little to the imagination and the sounds from the bathroom were also impossible to hide. There was very little hanging space for clothing and NO drawer space. Challenging for a two week visit

Well located and fairly upscale hotel for the price. My room was spacious and bed was extremely comfortable. Shower was great with excellent water pressure. It was quiet. There were just a few oddities relating to the layout of the room that made this stay less comfortable than I would have expected. Little to no counter space on which to set things, especially toiletries. The lighting in the room was odd and dark, I wished I had the ability to have a bright light next to the vanity specifically. Lastly, no luggage rack, storage space for clothes, and the only place you could hang clothes was awkward. Adding a dresser or another piece of furniture with counter space could make a world of difference. I would stay again, but was less comfortable in this fairly nice hotel than I would have liked. The staff were all fantastic and a pleasure to deal with.

We had a great 2 night stay at the Melrose Hotel. It was in a nice area of the city, near a canal and tram stop. Our room was just right for 2 people- very clean and compact. Luggage storage was provided.

My fiancé and I stayed her for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, housekeeping did a good job. Our room was on the first floor and was surprisingly quite. The location was great very close to a tram stop and walking distance to many attractions (Anne Frank House), but on a quieter street. The room was surprisingly large for European rooms ( we are from US where all the rooms are much larger). Would stay here again and recommend to others!

The room could've been a bit larger to accommodate for luggage. The bathroom shower wall is shared with the bedroom. It was a frosted glass enclosure, but we were worried that if there was a leak, it would leak into the bedroom. We could have used a bit more counter space by the sink, a larger desk area and more closet storage space. Cubbies or additional shelves would have been useful.

This was our first visit to Amsterdam and the location was perfect - quiet neighborhood a short walk to the lively areas - restaurants, museums, nightlife. Even though no restaurant, there were plenty next door for breakfast and lunch. I would stay there again.

Ideal for a short stay
Good location In Amsterdam and comfortable for 2 nights. A very new minimalist hotel. Bedroom was very hot at night as the weather was so warm. The aircon was either on, which was too cold or off, no middle option. Very little storage space for a longer duration than 2 nights and we were travelling very lite with only 2 very small backpacks. The sheet on one of the beds had holes and a 10cm tear in it. Very old and worn, needed binning. The 2 men on reception, one by day and the other at night were very helpful and friendly. A credit to the hotel.

The Melrose Hotel is amazing! 10/10! 5 stars! This hotel is really nice and clean. As well, it is on the best street in a great neighborhood near the canals. The neighbourhood is quiet and pretty. The hotel is on Elandsgracht, which is an amazing street. There are coffee places, restaurants, ice-cream, shops, supermarkets, pharmacy etc. all in the same street. The tram stop is just a few minutes walk. A beautiful canal is two blocks away. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Leidseplein, which is full of bars and restaurants. As well, there were two small bars nearby on Elandsgracht street. The nine little streets shopping area is just a few minutes away, with lots of cute shops. And we even walked home from the train station one night although it is a long walk. It’s a very safe neighborhood too, where lots of residents live, not so touristy. Totally awesome!

Lovely hotel in a great spot. Twin room was a bit small (not untypical for Amsterdam!) but perfectly clean. Staff were very friendly and professional and I would definitely stay here again.

The room was very clean. There is no breakfast which was inconvenient. It was pricey with no amenities we were expecting. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and well furnished. T A couple of maintenance issues like door handles that needed tightening and wobbly taps but overall very pleasant. The hotel is in a nice area and a short walk away from the centre.
