The studio is located 5mn from Zaandam train station which is 16mn by train from Amsterdam Centraal. It offers the possibility to visit Amsterdam, but also the surrounding areas, such as the mills of the Zaanse Schrans, the Polders, many bicycle tours are advised.
It is possible to cook, wifi, ideal for a couple, or a couple with two children. 2 double beds and a single bed are possible. A garage is available if required. Welcome.

sweet stay
The owner is nice and thoughtful. The place is warm and well managed with complete needs provided. The surrounding area is safe and quiet even for late night. However, the owner is not using smartphone, adviceable to directly call his number. He will attend and waiting for check in. We enjoy our stay!

I had to spend 1h to clean the appartmentnof about 200 sq feet... soap and stuff left Tom the last tennant... heurk... très sale et poussiéreux... je ne recommande pas...

Good but could be better
It was cleanish but shabby, linens looked old, dishes still on drainer, room smelled smoky. This room needs some TLC to be a beautiful little spot. The area is quiet, and if you can get past first and second impressions we were very comfortable. There was a lack of crockery and no toaster but the host quickly supplied it when asked which was great. Without a lot of expense it could be greatly improved. The bathroom has an unpleasant odour due to no ventilation which is not good. There is no lock on the apartment door, only at street level but there were workmen downstairs doing renovations who could have accessed our room so it didn’t feel at all secure bit hopefully that will only be temporary. We did enjoy the location very much and the room wasn’t bad, just could be so much better.

Good space, pretty close to Amsterdam via train. There was construction that started at about 7am on weekdays literally next door. Didn't like that you couldn't lock the room (you could lock the door to the outside, but we did notice someone else working downstairs - technically they could've come into our apartment room). No fan or aircon and it would get a bit warm even with windows open.

Easy access to train into Amsterdam. Also local trains to towns further out. Walking distance to restaurants and markets. Start and end your day enjoying the rooftop terrace. Don’t miss this opportunity to stay just a bit away from the tourist hotels and enjoy Fernand’s hospitality.

Nous sommes venus quelques jours afin de visiter Amsterdam avec mon copain et tout s'est bien passé. Fernand est très sympa et arrangeant (c'est un gros plus qu'il parle français d'ailleurs!). Nous avons trouvé le logement un plus grand que sur les photos. Il est très bien situé et il possède une petite terrasse bien pratique pour les fumeurs. Bref nous avons passé un bon moment, en espérant y revenir un jour!

Great location, great price
My boyfriend and I wanted to stay near Amsterdam but couldn't afford any expensive hotels until we came across this stay. True to its description, very close to train station, Zaandam is a lovely town to check out as well!
