"Great hotel! Lots of food options, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a good value. Feels more international and Costa Rican than other big brands. We enjoyed Barcelo very much. Nice pool with poolside restaurant and bar. Beautiful setting. My wife and I stayed on both the front end and back end of our trip to Costa Rica. We will stay again on our next trip to San Jose."

"when we got there there was a bunch of little ants I went to go tell the staff and cl and it right away, they were all gone except for like 2-3 but they werent harmful. there was a Mexican restaurant right next door which was delicious, a fresh market where we got some food a McDonald's and KFC crossing the street too.. so you could never really starve. we didn't get to try the breakfast because our activities started at 4:30 am and breakfast is at 7 am "

"Super limpio y con una cocina bien equipada, el host muy atento y siempre contestando nuestros mensajes. Este lugar no tiene sala pero honestamente no es muy necesaria ya que tiene una cocina muy bien proporcionada y cuartos amplios. Se sentia en un lugar muy seguro y las instrucciones de check-in son muy faciles a seguir y entender. Definitivamente nos volveriamos a quedar aqui si regresamos a Costa Rica."

"Clean but monochromatic room. Lack of HOT water at sink but shower was fine as long as you expect to get your hair wet. Restaurant offers limited menu for dinner. Buffet breakfast was good but typical of mid-range hotels. "
