"The hotel is VERY basic - imagine Travel Lodge (20 years ago). We had to have dinner there, food was very basic and bland. Breakfast (£12.50) was like a greasy spoon. On a positive note the views from the room were good and the staff were very friendly."

"What a fantastic place, and not just for youths! The hostel is located at the foot of Ben Nevis with hiking trails and the River Nevis just outside. Our private room was clean and comfortable, and had a view of the mountain which we absolutely loved. The only downside to having floorboards was that any movement both in and out of the room created a lot of noise. The ensuite was equally clean but very compact. Sheets and towels are provided for private rooms but remember to bring your own soap and shampoo. The shared kitchen was excellent and well managed, and the common areas cosy. Staff were friendly too. We would happily recommend this place to our friends and family!"

I know housekeeping is working overtime and we did our best to minimize our needs. for the most part I felt everything was clean and in good working order but if I could make a suggestion, it would be to clean the carpet next to the baseboards - I know it's a nitpicky thing, but it could make the difference whether someone sees the room as clean or just average."

"We had a pleasant stay at this hotel largely part to it's location. Perfect for exploring the area and hiking Ben Nevis, The breakfast was a standout. With plenty of options and a great start to each day, The staff was friendly and accommodating, always happy to help and mad us feel welcome. The hotel itself could benefit from some updating. They might have already begun to do so as our bathroom was refreshed and new but the rest of the room was quite dated but clean."
