The room was very nice. It exceeded our expectations. The ability to walk from the hotel to go downtown was great. The staff we encounter was very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again!

The Aviator is a great hotel. Our room was new and very nice, the staff was very friendly. There are a lot of homeless in the area around the hotel.

The property is incredible and the staff is amazing. My only issue was with the homeless population in the neighborhood. I had to be very careful and avoid some fights while I was walking. To be fair, it was the off season, maybe peak season would be different.

Don’t let the construction fool you-this place is great! It’s still very much a work in progress, but the areas that are available are really good. The staff is incredibly friendly & professional. They were so welcoming & helpful. We were booked on the 2nd floor, since the upper floors are still under construction & we thought the room was very cute & extremely comfortable. It’s got a retro look with plenty of space to hang out in the room. The lobby area has seating & provided free continental breakfast & snacks/drinks all day. The area is very walkable with plenty of restaurants, bars & shopping nearby. This place is gonna be incredible when they’re finished with the hotel & brewery. We definitely plan to return the next time we’re in Anchorage

This hotel is a scam. It may be under new ownership but they hired to have a really nice website made and spent time removing reviews. If you look up this hotel by address you will find that it is used by the city of Anchorage as a homeless shelter. It still looks like a homeless shelter, we booked this in advance and showed up at 11pm and thought our GPS was wrong so we drove around the block 3 times looking for the place. It's an absolute dump with no signage and people shooting up on the side of the building, don't be fooled by the new website, perceived discounts, or anything like that, a motel 6 has more class than this place. Besides the news article of the place talking about using it as a homeless shelter, the only other reviews we could find were from 4 years ago showing all the bed bugs.

John, we are so sorry that our hotel was still under renovation while you were set to arrive and the GPS coordinates routed you to a different location other than our front door. As we were re-debuting our hotel, our opening date was ever changing and it appears the messages that were relayed never made it to you, for that we are extremely sorry. I can understand what that must have been like not knowing where to go after a long travel day. We hope that you get a chance to come back and experience our hotel as your base camp to adventure here in Alaska. A place where you can relax after a long day hiking or fishing and be surrounded by comfort. Best regards,
