This property was a major disappointment. Communication with the host was poor—we didn’t receive the entry code until after arrival despite repeated attempts.Cleaning/Service Issues: On check-in the unit was filthy: dirt and leaves on the floor, leftover food in the fridge, food residue on counters, unclean bathroom, unchanged linens, and no towels. The cleaner arrived late the next day and, although the unit looked better afterward, essentials were still missing. Towels provided were dingy, and even soaps were removed mid-stay, forcing us to use lower-quality replacements. A ground-floor window was left wide open after cleaning, creating a serious security risk.Property/Maintenance Issues: The unit is heavily worn down—dated cabinets with grime buildup, mildew in the bathroom, a leaking shower diverter, and worn paint throughout. There is no insulation between the ground floor ceiling and the upstairs floor, making every step upstairs incredibly squeaky and loud. Guests upstairs walked around late into the night and started early in the morning, and their TV noise carried directly down, making it impossible to relax or sleep. The thermostat malfunctioned (set at 65F but overheated the room to 80F), and parking was inconvenient with no designated guest spots.The listing promises a “soothing atmosphere to unwind,” our experience was the opposite. Lastly, we were told by the property manager that we would be compensated for the inconvenience. Five days later no refund.
