Comfortable, Clean, Kids Friendly and private basement Apartment in a Safe Neighborhood located in beautiful South Anchorage.
Its a 1300 sq ft in the basement level that comfortably accommodates up to 7 adult guests + 2 children in 2 bedrooms with 1 king bed and 1 full bed, Toddler bed, and 1 queen bed, plus a full size hide a bed couch and a Pack 'n Play.
Convenient combination deadbolt entry lock for easy 24/7 check-in.
Entire guest floor is private and your home away from home, including fully stocked open kitchen, dining and living space, 1 full bathroom, laundry room, built-in sauna and a large parking lot.
There are 10 steps going down to the unit.
All linens provided, washer and dryer available for use, as well as a hairdryer, ironing board, and iron. We also provide washer detergent, dish soap, shampoo, soap, and body wash, coffee maker, electric teapot, wine bottle opener, and much more, so you don't have to worry about anything during your stay.

Apartment is also equipped with nice built-in Sauna and Ping pong table. Sauna is $20 per hour for electric and cleaning expenses.

We like to give guests their privacy, but if you need anything please do not hesitate to call us- we're next door to assist. We'll be happy to offer recommendations for activities, shopping, and restaurants.

Great place for our Anchorage home base

This well supplied basement apartment was a great place to stay while exploring Anchorage and Seward. It was easy to check in and out and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of linens were provided. Host responded quickly to questions.

Very convenient and accommodating

We stayed here for one night on our way in and out of Alaska for vacation. This location was convenient and Karina was very accommodating of our late check-in and need for short-term storage during our trip. It was as described - a clean, neat space in the lower level of their home with plenty of sleeping space and a nice kitchenette.

Comfy and safe area

This is in a basement but nice and warm, plenty of seating and storage and even has a ping pong table and a sauna. You can sauna for added cost. Loved the neighborhood. The beds were soooo comfortable and there were extra pillows and covers. Price was fair and host was wonderful.

Perfect for us!

This was a great launching point for our family of five! The place was clean, there were plenty of beds and there was good space to hang out! Our eleven year old especially enjoyed the ping pong table! Communication with the host was great!

Gracious hosts, rented house and car for our trip

We rented their car from Turo for our 2 week trip. That worked out great, they were able to deliver it to the airport when we arrived. Then, we stayed at this house on the last night before going to the airport (again able to deliver us to the airport). Was close to the airport and comfortable for us (2 adults, 2 teens).

One night in Anchorage

We had just one day to explore Anchorage before we flew back home. This house was perfect to the ending of our trip. We got to relax, do our laundry, play a little ping pong and get everything ready to go home. With all the house offered we were able to spend a good night and have energy and time to explore Anchorage before our late afternoon flights departed.

Quiet neighborhood and centrally located

We stayed here for 10 nights on a family trip. We used the property as a hub and did lots of day trips. Soldatna, Seward, Whittier, and girdwood, are all within reasonable driving distance. The basement apartment was dark enough to sleep even though it didn’t get dark outside until midnight but still had big enough windows to offer light and breeze when needed. Full kitchen worked well for cooking up our fresh trout and salmon.

The only thing i can criticize about our stay is that it is not really clear that there is a long stair way that needs to be used to access the property. We had a diabled person with us and it took us a bit of doing to get him up and down the stairs.

Top notch property!

The unit was perfect for our needs, Karina and Arto were most gracious owners! If we needed anything, all we had to do was ask and it was ours. They even set out some toys for our 2-year old to play with! Yes, the unit layout might be a little strange, but that is hardly a concern when you have everything you need at your fingertips. I will definitely recommend this property in the future, and hopefully it is available next year when we come up again!
