The Ballyhoo on Bean Point, 200 feet to a beautiful bayside beach and views!

The Ballyhoo is a ground floor cottage located on Bean Point at the very tip of Anna Maria Island. Around the corner, (200 feet away) is the Rod and Reel Pier and beach. A classic 1940s old Florida fishing pier. The pier is an excellent place to see all our local wildlife, dolphins, herons, pelicans, and if you are lucky, maybe a manatee. The pier offers some of the best fishing on the island. A family friendly place with very good food and drink. With panoramic views of Tampa Bay, the Skyway, Egmont Key and civil war era lighthouse, it's not to be missed. Take one our provided bikes or walk to nearby historic Pine Ave. where you'll find your choice of 12 restaurants, shops, art galleries and Roser Church built in 1913 by the inventor of the Fig Newton. While on Pine Ave. don't forget to visit the Anna Maria City Jail and the Anna Maria City Pier. At the City Pier you will find a free trolley that will take you anywhere on the island and back, trolley leaves approximately every half hour. The Ballyhoo is perfect for weekend getaways, fishing, shelling, or just relaxing and getting away from it all! Everything is included except food, your bathing suit and toothbrush! Come relax with us and have fun!

Anna Maria Cottage

Very nice , clean and cozy house. Great location , less than 5 min walk to Rod and Reel Pier. Close to boat ramps for charter fishing trips and theres a lot to do on or near the island without having to travel far. Love the house and we're already planning our next stay

The Ballyhoo is clean, comfortable and extremely well stocked. Fabulous Bean Point is a 5 minute walk away. Ed is helpful and attentive. We will be back!

Great little place

House has everything you need. Location is awesome. Easy Beach access. The Rod & Reel Pier was a great spot to fish. So close to everything. We love everything about AMI. Thanks for being such a great host Ed!!! We can’t wait to come back.

Cute cottage close to Tampa Bay and Rod &Reel Pier

Very cute and very clean cottage close to the beautiful Tampa Bay and downtown Anna Maria. This cottage has everything you need for a pleasant stay in Anna Maria! I recommend this cottage and will be back! The owner even supplies bikes for guests although we didn’t get to use them due to unusual cold weather this Christmas! We will be back!

Lovely Cottage Just Steps from the Water

We really enjoyed being a short walk to beach access and the Rod and Reel Pier. The house was clean. The neighborhood was quiet. The area locals were very friendly and helpful. The owner was very polite and accommodating. The house was well stocked with everything we needed to make our stay most enjoyable.

This is a super cute impeccably clean midcentury duplex with tons of retro touches in a location central to bay and beach. Easy walk to both bay and gulf beach. Totally stocked with towels, blankets, fishing supplies, and bikes. Loved it.

Lovely home!

The property was great. We loved the privacy and the specious living space. If you love this side of the island, I 100% recommend this place! The owner was super communicative and made grade dining recommendations as well. It was the wrong side of the island for us - I didn't realize the beaches on this side of the island had shark and rip tide warnings which make me uncomfortable with 2 small children. The beach that was closest to us was much to narrow with too many trees for my kids to play and fly their kites, so we drove to the other side of the island as per usual, but the parking was near impossible (we usually walk from where we stay on that side.)

Excellent Stay

Two Adults & Two Teenagers stayed here for a week and loved it. The House was as advertised , very clean and had everything you need. The check in process and overall communication with Ed was outstanding. The location was great just steps to the Rod & Reel pier a great spot to watch the Sunrise and grab breakfast Lunch or Dinner while watching the locals catch a ton of fish. The Bean Point ocean side beach was about a 5 minute walk but we just used the golf cart to drop off all the beach stuff and used Ed’s bikes to travel back and forth. Pro’s - Great location, Clean, had everything ( beach stuff, beach towels, hair dryer, 4 Nice Bikes to use, all the kitchen utensils etc, ) A/C was great , The Master Bedroom Mattress was Very comfortable , The teenagers said the Wi-Fi was great. Ed was great to deal with. Not any Con’s but a few tips for everyone - Do Not rent an Electric Golf Cart as their is NO outdoor Electrical socket to recharge the battery overnight, so rent a Gas Powered Golf Cart - Ed provides a ton ( like around 10 ) camping chairs for the beach. I prefer actual Beach chairs so if you do as well you can rent some on Pine Ave - no need to rent a car , you can drive anywhere on the island on the golf cart and take a car service to and from the airport. - Ugly Grouper is a must visit! We had such a good time, We already booked with Ed for another week in 2023

We felt so at home and had a great stay! The location is great. I appreciated how clean and well-stocked the Ballyhoo was. We felt very at home. Hope to be back soon! Our 5 year old cried when we left and said he wanted to live there in the house forever!
