Loved the convenience of being close to the center of the old town. The room was comfortable albeit small. The toilet facing the head of the bed took me by surprise. Enjoyed the free "aperitivo" every evening, offering snacks and good quality wines and beer.

Lovely stay at Banks for the second time. Only complaint was no air con so be prepared to keep windows/ doors open or use the fan provided.

The person checking us in was unfriendly and indifferent. A little disappointing as the reception at the other hotels were so friendly. The other people we felt with were cordial. The breakfast was not Buffett and we were served the same breakfast every day. There is no choice and the breakfast was at best average. While eating breakfast the girl in the kitchen did the dishes so loudly that we got up and left as we found it unpleasant and not a nice ambiance . The room was very nice and the bed was quite comfortable. The room had a very nice bathtub. I don’t think we would say there again.

Charming boutique hotel
Lovely, well located hotel. Small rooms but very nicely designed public spaces. Has a welcoming happy hour with free drinks and snacks. Lovely staff.

You can bank on Banks Hotel for a great stay

Modern hotel, great location in the city center. The room was not fully clean when I arrived and was a bit worn. The street was quite loud overnight so also did not get the best nights sleep both nights I stayed.

Convenient location
Banks was in a convenient location near to the cathedral and the river. The rooms were relatively basic and small. The breakfast was nicely served and good.

Nice, clean hotel with good service. Recommended!
Fantastic location right in the middle of the old town. Nice clean modern room with all amenities for a couple. Rooms are a little on the small side, but the service and cleanliness really makes up for it. Breakfast is very nice, continental style brought to you in the lounge. The hotel operate a free lounge from 1630-1800 most nights, which is very welcome after a long day out sightseeing and shopping!

Overall an OK place. The design of the bathroom is a bit odd, with the full glass separation between the actual bedroom and the tub and the rooms were a bit small. The staff was nice. Parking (at an outside lot) was easy and available.

The description says this is a four star hotel, it reminds me more of good quality hostel. I chose this hotel over a couple of others in the same area because it said they had onsite parking, this is not the case. The room is very small and everything is cramped. Although you can tell the intention is good as far them trying to be a art inspired boutique hotel but the attention to detail falls very short.

VERY hospitable hotel, great location, we loved it
We had a wonderful stay. At first when we entered the suite it felt a little small and we couldn't start up the fireplace, we felt disappointed so we made a call to the reception that it was not working and we left our room to go into the city. When we came back at 20.30 the fire was burning and there was a bottle of champagne in a cooler on our bed, along with some savory snacks and a very kind letter from the reception. This was the best present we could wish for as this was our annivery night. We have spent our evening in bed next to the fire with a glass of bubbels instead of in a belgium bar as we planned on. This was absolutely great. Another pleasant surprise was that at 16.30 the Banks hotel treats their guests for small tapas snacks and cava in the main lobby lounge. All free of charge. This is a wonderful gesture that you don't see very often, as a guest in this hotel you really feel special. PS: Breakfast was awesome

Good location with average rooms. Booked large room but was not big at all. Bathroom sink odd placement with nowhere to place your own items. 4 different textures in pillows on bed. Breakfast was a large serving but out of touch with todays needs. Served pate, ham and bacon. Am not a vegetarian bit surely this is an food you should ask if you want it for breakfast instead of including it on our morning platers. Carbtastic breads and pastries though. Grab breakfast across the street for same price and get what you want with a massive menu.

Central and Modern with Happy Hour
Ideally located, modern, and generous with the food and drink - a great place to stay in Antwerp that provides all of the essentials and some nice perks. The lack of late night reception is a little inconvenient, and I would have preferred a minibar, but those are small complaints.

Very disappointing
I can’t believe one second this is a 4* hotel, probably the worst bed I have had to sleep on since I started using hotels. Design of the hotel is good and you can feel employees are trying their best. No reception after 6pm, again very strange for a 4* if you need help, a taxi or some guidance... Breakfast is an absolute scam, very little while next door 2 min walk from the hotel you have endless options for good and well priced breakfast. The room is very small and toilets and shower in a sort of closets with a glass as the only separation from the room, very awkward. We left this hotel earlier than planned because of the bed and wanted to save my back one more night in that piece of sponge

The beds have been carefully chosen with advise from Auping (a high end quality of bed manufacturer) and are appreciated as very good to excellent by most of our guests and used in many 4 and 5 star hotels. And Banks healthy breakfast, served at your table and consists only of the most healthy and delicious ingredients. Several types of freshly baked bread, a choice of meats and cheeses, marmalades and a fruit juice, a medium boiled egg with some crispy back, yoghurt, cruesli and an unlimited quantity of all sorts of Lavazza coffee or tea. Experienced as a treat. In case you prefer a breakfast buffet, than we understand your comments, because we choose to serve breakfast per person at your table. Our evening/night employee is definitely available in the hotel through the evening and night. The main entrance closes, but that is the only difference with the day operation and like in many other city centre hotels As you can read all is subject to one’s personal expectations or likings and fortunately most guests do “like” what Banks has to offer.
